I keep seeing people say the Jetterix uses less water than a standard hose nozzle. Is that actually true or just marketing? I get that the pressure is more focused, but does it really cut down on water or just make a mess faster? Curious if anyone checked before buying one.

I think it probably does use less water just because you’re not blasting it wide open the whole time. I got one mostly out of curiosity and it cleans fine for what it is. Not totally sure it’s some huge water saver but it’s not worse than a regular nozzle.

I figure if you’re not spraying wide open the whole time, it’s probably saving water whether it’s a Jetterix or any other nozzle that focuses the stream. I just prefer the feel of a more concentrated spray when I’m rinsing stuff off, feels like I’m actually cleaning instead of just flooding the ground.

It probably saves some water, but honestly it’s not something I’d overthink. Works fine for cleaning the patio and doesn’t feel like I’m wasting half the hose.

I just got one for washing the car and didn’t really think about the water usage. It worked fine and I wasn’t standing there forever, so I’m not too worried about it.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. It seems like it would have to use less water if you’re not just letting it run wide open, but I haven’t actually measured it or anything.

Not really sure why people get hung up on water usage with these things. I just want to finish the driveway and move on with my day, not stand there checking the meter.

I’d guess it probably uses less water if you’re not standing there holding the trigger open forever, but I haven’t bothered to measure it. The stream does feel a lot more focused, so you’re not just soaking a wide area for no reason. Seems like common sense, but I wouldn’t swear by it without actually testing.

Honestly, I think people overthink it. If you’re just spraying the driveway and not leaving the water running while you grab a beer, it’s probably not a huge difference either way. I just wanted something that actually knocked the mud off the tires without soaking the whole yard.

I doubt there’s some huge water savings, but it’s not total BS either. You’re basically just not dumping water everywhere like with an open hose, so yeah, you probably use less if you’re actually cleaning something instead of flooding the yard. I wouldn’t buy it based on that claim alone, but it’s not a lie.

I mean, if you’re just blasting a hose with no nozzle you’re basically watering the whole neighborhood anyway, so yeah it probably uses less. But I doubt anyone’s actually done the math on it.

I’ve got one and I don’t really overthink the water usage part. It definitely feels like less water is flying everywhere compared to my old nozzle, but I never actually measured it. Works fine for spraying off my patio though.
