I honestly wouldn’t even worry about it being fully charged before you mess with it. I mean, sure, it’s probably a good idea to plug it in while you’re doing the whole rinse-and-fill routine, but I don’t think you need to treat it like some old-school gadget that takes 12 hours to wake up.
Mine came with enough juice to run a cycle right away, and I just pressed the button after filling it up because I was curious. It worked fine. But it definitely wasn’t a full charge, and I’ve noticed that the battery doesn’t last forever if you’re using the self-cleaning mode a lot. So it’s not like it’s dead out of the box, but it’s also not something you want to rely on for days without plugging in.
If you’re the type who hates waiting for things, you’ll probably be fine just using it right away. But if you want to be a little more careful, just plug it in while you’re doing your initial cleaning and filling. That way it’s topped up and you’re not thinking about it later. Either way, you’re not going to break anything by trying it out early.
I had the same thought when I first got mine. I just use a regular pillowcase and it works, the empty corners look a bit funny but they don’t bother me. I’m asleep, so who cares what the pillow looks like.
I just plopped mine on the middle shelf near the front and haven’t thought about it since. Seems to keep things smelling fine, even with my roommate’s leftovers in there. I don’t think the exact spot matters as much as just having it in there at all.
I swapped mine out for a carrier SIM from back home and it worked without any fuss. The included one is basically just a starter pack, the slot itself is open. I would not stress about being locked into their plans.

I think for just taking the edge off it would probably do what you need. The timer is nice for bedtime so you can set it and not worry about it running all night. Honestly I wouldn’t expect it to feel like a full AC unit but for a small room it might be enough.

I think you might be overthinking it a bit. I just run mine without water when it feels sticky and it’s basically a fan that moves air around, which is still nice. The water feature is more for when the air is dry, not when it’s already muggy.
I dunno, I feel like 30W is kind of the bare minimum for most ultrabooks. It’ll probably trickle charge it if the laptop isn’t doing anything heavy, but I wouldn’t count on it keeping up if you’re actually running a bunch of stuff.
I’ve got one in a room with a pretty dodgy ceiling and it actually helps. It runs a lot but it’s not like it’s struggling or anything, just keeps things bearable. I wouldn’t say it’s magic but it’s definitely better than nothing.
Mine does the same thing, I just kind of ignore the light at this point. I set it up and checked that my devices were actually getting a better signal where I needed it, and that was good enough for me.
I noticed that too on mine, but when I checked the video file on my computer it actually showed 60fps, so I think it’s real. Might just be how the drone handles it in certain lighting or something.

Honestly I’d be careful with it. I used a similar cloth on a matte helmet once and it left a shiny spot that never went away. Not saying it’ll definitely ruin your bike, but it’s a real risk if the paint is flat.
Mine’s been totally fine honestly. I use it a few times a week and haven’t really noticed any big drop off yet. Could just be your unit or maybe you’re opening more bottles than you think.
