So I got an Ozoori and I’m trying to figure out where to put it in my small fridge. Does it matter if it’s on a shelf vs in the door? I just want to make sure it’s actually doing something for the smells.

Door spots tend to get warmer, so I kept mine on a middle shelf just to be safe. I figure the air circulates better there anyway. It seems to handle smells fine after the first couple days, but I wouldn’t expect it to work miracles if something’s already gone bad in the back.

Door vs shelf probably doesn’t matter all that much. I stuck mine on the top shelf in the back because that’s the only spot where it wouldn’t get knocked over every time I grabbed something. The door gets bumped around too much and stuff shifts constantly, so I’d avoid that just for the hassle factor.

Honestly, I’m not convinced placement makes or breaks this thing. It just sits there and runs. Mine has been in the same corner for a few months now and the fridge doesn’t smell like old onions anymore, but I also stopped being lazy about tossing expired stuff. Hard to say which one is doing the heavy lifting.

If you’ve got a spot where it’s not in the way, just leave it there. The air in a small fridge gets pulled around anyway. Overthinking the exact position probably won’t change much.

I’d say keep it away from the back wall where stuff tends to pile up. I had mine on a lower shelf near the veggie drawer and it seemed to keep things smelling fine for a good month before I had to charge it again.

I just plopped mine on the middle shelf near the front and haven’t thought about it since. Seems to keep things smelling fine, even with my roommate’s leftovers in there. I don’t think the exact spot matters as much as just having it in there at all.

I put mine in the door actually, and it’s been fine. I know people say the door gets warmer but my fridge is so small that everything is basically the same temperature in there anyway. I figured putting it on a shelf would just mean it takes up space I need for actual food. The door has that little bin thing that’s usually empty for me so it was the obvious spot. Honestly the smell situation has been way better than before, like I can actually open the fridge without getting hit with whatever my onions are doing back there. I don’t think the exact placement matters as much as people make it out to be. If you have a spot where it won’t get knocked over every time you grab something, that’s probably good enough.

I put mine upright in the corner of the bottom shelf and it seems to do its job fine. I don’t think the door vs shelf thing matters much in a small fridge since the space is so tight anyway. Just keep it out of the way so you don’t knock it over every time you grab something.

I think the door vs shelf thing gets overblown. Mine has been sitting in the door holder for a couple months now and the fridge still smells fine. It’s a tiny fridge anyway so the air moves around plenty wherever it sits.

I just set mine on the top shelf wherever there’s room and called it a day. It’s been a couple weeks now and honestly the fridge doesn’t smell like last week’s fish anymore, so I’m not about to overthink placement. If it works on the shelf, it probably works wherever you put it.

I just kept mine on the top shelf tucked behind the milk and it’s been fine. I can’t tell if it’s doing much for smells since I clean the fridge pretty often anyway, but it doesn’t get in the way and that’s all I really wanted. I don’t think placement matters that much in a smaller fridge.

I keep mine on the top shelf, just pushed toward the back where it’s out of the way. The door seems like a pain if you’re always grabbing stuff, and I’d rather not knock it around every time I open the fridge. Hasn’t made a difference that I can tell, but the fridge is small enough that air gets around everywhere anyway.

I don’t get why placement would change how it works. It just sits in there and cycles air. I tossed mine in the crisper drawer since I never use it and the fridge smells fine. Maybe you just need to give it a few days.

I just shoved mine on the middle shelf between the leftovers and a jar of pickles and haven’t touched it since. The door thing seems like it would get knocked around every time you grab a drink, so I’d skip that. As long as it’s not buried behind a bunch of stuff I figure it’s doing its thing.

I’ve had mine in the door for a while now and it’s been fine. The airflow argument never really made sense to me since it’s not like the fridge is sealed off in sections. If anything, having it out of the way means I actually remember to charge it before it dies.

I put mine on the bottom shelf near the veggie drawers just because it stays out of the way there and I forget about it until the charge reminder pops up. Can’t say I noticed a huge difference in smells, but the fruit does seem to last a bit longer than before.

Honestly I don’t think the door is a great spot just because it’s warmer there and the thing works off air circulation. I keep mine on a shelf near the back and it’s been fine. As long as it’s not buried behind stuff it probably doesn’t matter that much.

Mine ended up in the fruit drawer just because that’s where the last bit of space was and honestly it’s been working fine there. I do wonder if being lower down makes a difference but the smells have calmed down so I’m not moving it.
