Looking at the Qinux Talkbuds and wondering if they’ll pair with my Android phone without issues. I’ve seen some earbuds that only really work well with iPhones. Anyone using these with a regular Android and having a smooth experience?

Mine paired straight away with my Samsung, no drama at all. I did have to install the app first and make sure the earbuds were in pairing mode before it picked them up, but after that it’s been fine. I’ve used them for normal phone calls and music too, not just the translation stuff, and they behave like regular Bluetooth earbuds. One thing I noticed is that the app needs to be running in the background for the translation features to kick in properly. If I close it out completely, the earbuds still work for calls but the translation button does nothing. Took me a minute to figure that out. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know before you set them up.

I got these mainly for travel and they pair fine with my Pixel. No weird connection drops or anything so far. I just turned them on, picked them in Bluetooth settings, and that was it.

I’ve used mine with a Motorola and it connected fine. The only thing I noticed is that it seems to prefer being the last thing you pair, if that makes sense. Like if I connect it to my laptop first, I have to go back into the phone’s Bluetooth settings and tap it again. Not a big deal, just a quirk I’ve gotten used to.

I keep seeing everyone say theirs paired instantly, but mine took a couple of tries before the phone actually found them. Not a dealbreaker, just had to forget the device and reconnect once. Once they were on, they stayed connected fine. I wouldnt assume every Android is going to be flawless right out of the box, but its not like they only work with iPhones either.

I think Android compatibility is pretty much a given with these. Bluetooth is Bluetooth. If your phone can connect to any other wireless earbuds, it will connect to these. I haven’t seen anything about them being locked down to one ecosystem. The app handles the translation stuff, but the actual pairing is standard.

I have a fairly basic Android, nothing fancy, and they connected like any other pair of earbuds I’ve owned. I didn’t have to fiddle with settings or anything like that, it just showed up in my Bluetooth list and paired normally.

I’ve actually used them more for regular music and calls than the translation stuff honestly. But the pairing part was never the issue for me. I’m not sure why some earbuds would be picky about Android anyway, that would drive me crazy. These just act like normal wireless earbuds on my end, which is all I really wanted.

I’d be more worried about the app than the Bluetooth pairing itself. The earbuds connect like any other set, but the translation stuff only works through their app, so if your Android runs that fine you’re good. I had more trouble with the app being clunky than with the actual connection.

I get why you’re asking because some brands really do seem to favor iPhone users. But I’ve had mine connected to a pretty standard Android for about two months now and it behaves like any other Bluetooth earbuds I’ve paired. The first time it took maybe an extra few seconds to show up in the list, but after that it just reconnects when I open the case.

The only thing I’d say is that the companion app feels like it was designed with iPhone in mind first. It’s not buggy on Android, just not as polished. But for the actual pairing and everyday use as earbuds, I wouldn’t stress about it. If your phone picks up normal wireless earbuds without drama, these should be fine too.
