I’ve been using the Hewelth ReliefChain while watching TV and it’s fine when I sit still, but the moment I lean forward to grab my drink or shift around, it feels like it’s going to slip off my shoulders. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a matter of tightening it somehow? I like the massage part, but I’m not sure about the fit.

Mine does the same thing if I don’t have it positioned right, but I found it stays put once I actually lean back into the couch and let it settle. It’s not a miracle fit, but it’s not sliding off me every time I move either. The massage makes up for the occasional readjustment.

I just tighten it a bit before I lean back and it stays fine.

I never had that issue with mine because I mostly use it sitting up in bed, so gravity kind of holds it in place. It does shift a little when I move around too, but I figured that was normal for this type of wrap design. Maybe it just needs a slightly different position on your shoulders.

I think the fit just takes a little trial and error. I had the same worry early on, but I found that how I adjust the straps matters more than how tight they are. For me, it works best if I get it settled right before I get comfortable, then I don’t really notice it moving around.

The shifting annoyed me at first too, but honestly, I stopped noticing after the first couple of uses. The trick for me wasn’t tightening the straps to the max. It was just accepting that the thing moves a little when I reach for stuff. It’s a massager, not a backpack. I found that if I pull it a bit higher up on my neck before I lean back, it settles into a spot and stays mostly put. It still slides when I twist around, but so does everything else I wear on my shoulders. I don’t expect it to be glued to me. The massage part works well enough that I don’t care about the minor shifting.

I think it just shifts with how you move, no way around it really.

The whole thing is just loose by design. Mine moves when I reach for anything too, so I wouldn’t overthink the fit. The straps only do so much. It works fine when you’re sitting back, but it’s not going to stay glued to you.

It does slide a bit on me too, but I found that wearing it over a t-shirt or a hoodie instead of directly on my skin keeps it from moving as much. I usually just adjust it when I get up to grab something and it is fine. The fabric on my couch also seems to catch it better than my chair.

I think part of it is just learning where you like the weight to sit. For me, it stops feeling like it’s about to slide when I’m not trying to keep it perfectly centered on both shoulders. I let it sit a little looser and it actually moves with me better than when I had it cranked down.

Mine shifts a bit when I move too, but it settles back once I’m still.

I think some movement is just part of the deal with these wrap style massagers. Mine doesn’t really slide off completely, but it definitely shifts whenever I reach for something or adjust my seating. The fit is more about finding a position where it feels balanced enough that it doesn’t bug you the whole time, rather than getting it to stay perfectly locked in place.

Mine does the same thing, but I noticed it depends on how I sit. If I’m slouched into the couch, it shifts every time. When I sit up straight with my back against the cushion, it stays put a lot better. Something about the angle of my shoulders changes when I lean forward, and the straps just don’t have enough grip to hold it.

The material doesn’t help either. It’s smooth enough that it wants to slide on fabric and skin alike. I tried wearing it over a thicker sweatshirt and that helped a bit, but then I couldn’t feel the heat as well.

Honestly, I think it’s just a design limitation. It’s not going to be rock solid no matter what you do. As long as it doesn’t fall off completely, I just reposition it when I get back to sitting still.

I had the same issue at first, especially when I was wearing it over a thin tank top. It would slide forward every time I reached for the remote or shifted in my seat. I got so annoyed one evening that I almost put it away for good.

Then I realized I was wearing it too far back on my neck. I moved it a bit higher up, more like how a scarf sits when you pull it snug, and that helped a lot. I also started wearing it over a slightly thicker t-shirt rather than on bare skin, which gave the straps something to grip. It still moves a little when I get up, but it holds fine for normal sitting and leaning.

I do think there is a break-in period with the straps. Mine felt stiff for the first week or so, and then they seemed to soften and sit more naturally. I have had mine for about a month now, and I barely think about the fit anymore. It is still not something I would wear while walking around, but for watching TV or reading, it stays put well enough. The massage part is the main reason I keep using it, and once I got the placement right, the sliding stopped bothering me. Hopefully that helps, but it might just take a bit of fiddling to find where it wants to sit on your shoulders.

I found that the fit really depends on how much I’m moving around in the first place. If I’m just sitting upright it stays put, but the second I start reaching for things it does shift. I wouldn’t say it’s going to fall off completely, but it definitely moves enough to be annoying. I’ve just gotten used to repositioning it when I get up.

I kept having the same problem at first, and honestly I think it just takes a bit of fiddling to find where it sits best on you. I noticed mine slips way more if I have it too loose in the front, so I started pulling the straps a little tighter before I lean over and it helps a lot. It still moves some when I get up, but it doesn’t feel like it’s about to fall off anymore. I also wonder if it depends on what you’re wearing. I tried it over a hoodie once and it slid around way more than when I wear it on bare skin or a thin shirt. I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, it might just be the way the weight sits on your frame.

Mine does the same thing when I lean sideways to grab the remote. I think the straps just need a bit of tension, but there’s no real way to lock it in place. The massage part works well enough that I just reposition it when it shifts.

I feel like the shifting is just kind of how these wrap things behave, but I noticed it got way better once I stopped trying to wear it so loose. I pull it snug across my chest before I settle in and it stays put through most small movements now. Leaning way down to pick something off the floor still messes it up though.

It’s a wrap, so it’s always going to move when you do. That’s just the design.

Good to know I’m not the only one fiddling with it.
