I’d probably just try it and see. If it’s already snug you’ll notice it a bit, but these cards are thin enough that it might not bother you as much as you think.
I think it really just depends on the person honestly. The extra tips are fine for casual wear but I wouldn’t push it during sprints.
I usually just go by feel more than a set schedule. If his eyes are getting covered or he starts looking shaggy, that’s my cue.
I had mine on a shelf for the first week, then tried the wall mount just to see. Honestly, the wall mount felt like it spread the air out a bit more evenly across the room, but the shelf spot was fine too if you don’t want to drill holes. I ended up keeping it on the wall since it looks cleaner and keeps my desk space free. No issues with either setup though.
I’ve had mine for a few months and barely touched the roaming side, but the battery life alone makes it worth tossing in a bag for me. The data saver mode does help a bit when I’m on a slower connection at a coffee shop or something, but it’s not a night and day difference.
My CarbonOne Safe screen stays on 24/7 with the numbers lit up. It’s not super bright, more like a dim digital clock, but if you’re sensitive to light in a bedroom it could be a minor annoyance. I just turned mine slightly away from the bed and it’s fine.
I think people might be overthinking the clip thing a bit. It’s definitely bigger than the old one, and I haven’t had any trouble hooking mine onto my gym bag or a belt loop. It’s not like you’re hanging a dumbbell off it, it’s a speaker.
I think it’s probably just the surface being harder, so the knife stops quicker. Not really a big deal once you get used to it.
Haven’t used mine with a ton of fast talkers yet, but I did notice it gets a bit confused if someone switches languages mid-sentence. That tripped it up more than speed alone.

15 minutes seems like plenty if you’re just blowing dust out the door and not trying to clear a mountain of wood chips. I’d grab it just for the corners and under the workbench.
I’ve been running parking mode on mine for about two months now and it’s been fine in my sedan. The motion detection seems to kick in only when something actually moves near the car, so it’s not constantly recording all night. I think as long as you’re not parking it for like a week straight without driving you’ll be okay.
Honestly, I think it’ll be fine as long as you don’t go too crazy with it. I’ve used similar cloths on matte stuff before and it was okay if you just do a light pass. Probably best to test it on a hidden spot first like under the seat just to be safe.
That’s interesting, I’ve been looking at these for my desk setup since I’m trying to cut down on cords. Good to know the remote range might be a bit inconsistent between units, that would bug me if I couldn’t reach it from my chair.
Drafty rooms are always going to be tough for any portable unit, that’s just physics. I wouldn’t sweat it too much though, as long as you’re warm where you’re sitting it’s doing its job.
I’d still go for it. Even with furniture in the way, the UV is bouncing around a bit and hitting whatever it can reach, so it’s not like it does nothing. You’re probably not going to notice the difference between a perfect empty room and a mildly cluttered one anyway unless you’re really testing it.
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that. I just wiped mine down with a damp cloth and it evened out after a bit. Not a huge deal, but definitely something to keep in mind if you’re using it near the trim.
Honestly, if your bag is across the airport you won’t get a live ping, but the last known location is usually enough to get you pointed in the right direction. I wouldn’t let the range stop you from throwing one in your luggage.
I’ve seen a few people mention using leaf blowers for drying cars, and it makes sense in theory if you’re already using it for the yard anyway. The 15 minute runtime seems like it’d be fine for a quick blow-off, but I’d probably just stick with a chamois to avoid having to recharge halfway through. Not really a big deal either way, just depends what you have handy.
I’d guess it’ll just look like a normal retro game on a regular HD screen. The 4K output is probably just upscaling, not like it’s making the pixels sharper or anything. I’ve seen similar sticks on older TVs and they just look fine, nothing fancy.
I’ve got an old Anker pad too and it charges fine, no issues. I think most Qi stuff will work unless it’s really ancient.
I usually just dump the water out if I know I won’t be using it for a few hours. The musty smell is pretty normal with evaporative coolers since the water is just sitting there. Not a huge deal, but I wouldn’t leave it overnight full again.
I think people overthink the camera on these things. For throwing clips on Instagram or whatever, the Black Falcon is totally fine. I had one of those cheap foldable ones a couple years back and the footage looked way better than I expected for the size.
I think they tone down the streetlights a bit, but it’s not like they disappear or anything. More of a slight dimming effect than a total fix. Still works fine for me overall though.
