Was thinking about picking up a Wood Ranger Power Leaf Blower for cleaning out my workshop. Not sure if it’s strong enough for sawdust and stuff on the floor. Anyone use it for that kind of thing?

I wouldnt count on it for serious sawdust cleanup. I tried mine in my garage and it just moved stuff around more than actually clearing it out. Better off with a shop vac for that kind of mess.

I think people overcomplicate this. It blows air. Sawdust is light. It’ll move it. Just open the door first so you’re not just blasting it into a wall.

It’ll move sawdust fine, but you’re not going to blow a workshop clean with a 15-minute runtime. You’d be better off with a broom for the heavy stuff and just use the blower for the corners.

I’ve used mine for blowing out sawdust from a small workspace. It does the job, just keep the door open so you’re not just stirring it up.

Honestly, I’d just grab a broom for the big piles and use the blower for the rest. That 15-minute runtime is enough to hit the corners and workbench, just not the whole floor at once.

15 minutes seems like plenty if you’re just blowing dust out the door and not trying to clear a mountain of wood chips. I’d grab it just for the corners and under the workbench.

I don’t know, I feel like 15 minutes would be enough if you’re not trying to do a deep clean every time. I’d probably just use it to chase the dust out the door after sweeping the bigger piles.

It’s a leaf blower, not a dust cannon. It’ll move sawdust but I wouldn’t count on it for anything caked on the floor.

It’ll blow sawdust around just fine. Not gonna move a pile of wood chips but for a quick dusting it works.
