I’d probably skip the Guardality if you’re already using an RFID holder for your passport. The holder does the job for that one item. The card only really makes sense if you want to protect everything else in your wallet without switching to a new one.
Interesting to see so many people getting good results in similar setups. That hasn’t been my experience at all. I’m on the second floor facing a courtyard and surrounded by taller buildings, and the WaveMax struggled from day one. I could pick up one or two channels on a clear day, but the picture would break up constantly. I moved it around to different spots, tried near the window, but nothing made a real difference. I ended up returning it and going back to cable basics because I couldn’t even rely on it for the evening news. I think it really depends on your specific building materials and direction. If you have a window facing the general direction of the towers, you might be fine, but my situation just didn’t work out.
The fit really depends on where the arms of your glasses sit. Mine are on the wider side but the frames are thin, so they slide on okay. I’d say if your frames have thick plastic arms, it might feel a bit snugger than you’d like, but it’s still wearable.
I got one at the end of last summer specifically for the crud my grates had built up over months of neglect. It took a couple of passes on the worst spots, but it did break it down without me having to put my back into it. The battery lasted long enough for the whole job too.
The mask definitely feels slower to me in terms of raw power, but it kind of forces me to be consistent with it. I found I was actually using the panel less because setting aside time to just sit there got old fast. The mask wins for me just because it’s easier to do every other day.
I wouldn’t overthink the SIM thing. The included one is probably just their way of making it work out of the box, but I doubt they’d solder it in or anything. Seems like a hassle for them to deal with locked hardware across all those countries they advertise.
I noticed something similar on mine, but only when I first switched it over. It kind of faded into the background after a bit and I forgot about it until I saw this thread. Probably just one of those things that happens with new heating stuff.
I only noticed it a couple of times when the timer kicked in at night. It’s kind of a subtle click, more noticeable when the room is quiet. I just assumed it was part of the normal shutoff process, but I haven’t really looked into it.
I think it mostly piggybacks off the phone, but honestly mine logs steps and basic stuff on its own just fine. I don’t keep the app open and it still tracks walks without my phone nearby. Doesn’t seem like a big deal to me.
I think mine lasted about 25 minutes on a patio, but I wasn’t blasting it nonstop. Depends how dirty your corners are I guess.
I haven’t really tested it, but I just keep mine on low speed with oscillation and it lasts me most of the day without issue. Not totally sure if the oscillation makes a big difference, but it works fine for my desk setup.
I’d probably just try it and see. If the battery drains too fast, you could always move it or top it up with USB once in a while.
It’s basically just a plug it in and go kind of thing, no timer included. I just switch mine off when I leave the room for a while or if I’m not sitting at my desk.
I think the vents are more of a backup than something you’ll actively notice. It’s probably not going to stop mouth breathing completely, but it helps a bit if you shift around at night.
I think it’s pretty normal that it doesn’t kick in perfectly the first night. Took me a few nights to stop fiddling with it, but once my jaw got used to the position it started doing what it’s supposed to. Not totally sure about that “night one” claim either but it works well enough now.
I think the 4 week claim is probably for Everyday Mode. I’ve had mine for a month and a half and I’ve only charged it once, but I never use Boost Mode.
I’d just try it with nothing else plugged in for a bit and see if that changes anything. That’s what I did when I wasn’t sure about mine and it helped.
I set mine up facing the couch from about 8 feet away and it’s been fine for seeing if my cat is up there. Not super crisp but definitely visible.
I switched over mainly for the easy cleanup and it does the job for that. The blade feel difference is there but it’s pretty minor in my experience, nothing that would make me go back to wood.

The ropes seem decent enough for gentle wind, but I’d be a little nervous if it gets really gusty. Probably fine if you stake it well, but I get the concern about it catching air.
I just leave mine on low while I sleep and it doesn’t bother me at all. No weird humming noise that I’ve noticed. It’s been fine for my bedroom.
I’ve had my pair for a few months now and honestly the battery still holds up fine for me even with translation. I used it for a solid hour at a family dinner and it wasn’t dead or anything when I put them back in the case. For a trip I’d just toss the case in my bag and not worry about it.
