I didn’t even realize people were looking for a mute button, I just turn mine off with the power switch if I need quiet. Probably not the intended way but it works.
I get why the monthly thing is a dealbreaker, but I don’t think the subscription worry really applies here. Translattia doesn’t seem to run on that model at all, and from what I’ve seen the translation keeps working after the initial buy. I compared it to a couple of other translator earbuds before deciding, and the ones with ongoing fees were the ones I crossed off first. The way I see it, if a company wanted a subscription they wouldn’t be advertising no subscription so loudly, since that’s the whole selling point for people like us. The only thing that costs you is the earbuds themselves, and after that it’s just normal charging and the occasional app update. So if the monthly charge is the thing holding you back, I’d say that specific concern isn’t really an issue with this one.
Angle control is the part I’d focus on. With the old guide I always ended up with a few teeth that felt different when cutting. The SawShark keeps that part more repeatable, so the chain feels more even overall.
I think the delay thing gets blown out of proportion. I’ve used mine daily for a couple months now and I don’t notice any lag that actually bothers me. Maybe if you’re sitting there comparing them back to back you’d hear something, but in normal driving it sounds the same to me.
It could be a technique thing, but honestly I think windows are just one of those surfaces where a steamer alone rarely gives you that perfect finish. I tried mine on the bedroom window and got the same result, those faint lines showed up once it dried. I wasn’t too annoyed because I figured it was just leftover mineral stuff from the water.
I found that if I go over the glass with a dry microfiber cloth right after steaming, it looks great. But if I walk away and let it air dry, streaks are almost guaranteed. The steamer loosens everything up nicely, but it doesn’t seem to remove whatever is left behind completely. It just moves it around a bit.
So I would say it’s not you doing it wrong. You might just need to keep a cloth handy for the final pass. That has worked for me so far.
Good to know it’s not just me then. I’ve been doing the same thing with leftover water and haven’t noticed the cooling getting weaker either. The runtime thing makes sense though, I guess I just never really paid attention to how long mine actually lasts.
I think it depends what you mean by “different.” For me the bigger change wasn’t the fit, it was the weight. The Nunawave has the electronics built in so it’s not as featherlight as the cheap ones. Took me a couple nights to stop noticing it, but after that it was fine.
Glad I’m not the only one who noticed this. Seems like it depends a lot on the water where you live. I’ll probably give it a shot anyway and see how it goes for me.
I was actually worried about the same thing with my garden gate, but I just angled the spray downward and kept it moving. The paint stayed put, no marks, nothing. I think as long as you’re not holding it in one spot like a laser, wood is fine.
The synthetic cork thing is kind of hit or miss for me too. I had one that was super dense and it seemed like the motor was really having to work for it. But I also had a cheaper synthetic one that came out so fast it almost surprised me. I think it really depends on the density of the cork itself. The firmer ones just don’t compress the same way real cork does, so the spiral has to grip harder. I didn’t feel like it was damaging anything or going to break, but I definitely noticed the difference in how long I had to hold the button down. It’s not something that would make me avoid synthetic corks altogether, but I get what you mean about having to keep it steadier.
The carpet thickness probably matters more than people think. Mine is on a medium pile rug and it stays, but I can feel it shift a little when I first get into position. Once I settle and the traction starts, it doesn’t move at all. I wouldn’t want it on plush shag carpet though.

I just keep the scale set to guest mode and log manually when someone close in weight uses it. Takes an extra second but avoids any mix-up in the app history.
I noticed mine holds a charge a little shorter now too, but I’m also someone who mostly uses it without the heat function. I feel like the heat drains it way faster than the regular pulses, so maybe that’s part of it depending on how you use it.
I keep a couple of ice packs in rotation but mostly because I like the cold mist feeling on my face. Without ice it still cools the area around my desk fine, but the ice does make it feel more like an actual AC for a while. If you’re lazy about it, you’re not missing out on much.
Mine’s been fine in busy spots too, actually. I used it at a train platform with announcements blaring and it still caught the other person well enough. I think the mic just focuses on whoever’s talking closest.
It’s funny you mention this because I was actually one of the people who almost didn’t buy it after reading those same complaints. My place is a rental and the outlets are pretty hit or miss, so I figured I’d be dealing with this exact issue. But after using mine for about a month now, I’ve had zero problems with breakers tripping. The outlet does get a little warm if I leave it running all day, but that’s normal for any heater in my experience.
What I did notice is that it really depends on which outlet I use. The one in my kitchen is fine, but the one in my bedroom is on a circuit with a bunch of other stuff, and I can tell it’s working harder when the microwave or the TV is on at the same time. I just started plugging it into a different outlet and it’s been fine. I’m not saying the heater is perfect, but I do think old wiring makes a big difference. My last apartment had knob and tube and I couldn’t run anything without blowing a fuse, so I get the frustration.
I’d say if yours is tripping, it’s probably not the heater itself but just the circuit it’s on. Maybe try a different outlet that’s not shared with as many appliances and see if that changes anything.
The weight was never really my issue with mine. I’ve used it on the ground plenty and it balances fine one-handed. What got me was how the water pressure makes the hose stiffen up and want to snake around while you’re up there. You end up fighting the hose more than the nozzle itself. I found myself doing this weird shuffle on the ladder trying to keep the hose from kinking or whipping against the house. It’s doable if you can hook the hose over a rung or something to take the strain off, but that adds its own fiddling. If you’re used to holding a drill or a paint sprayer up high, the Jetterix part won’t be the problem. It’s everything attached to it that makes it awkward.
