I noticed the same thing when I first got mine, and it threw me off for a bit. The pause is pretty quick on mine, like a second or two, and then it just goes back to normal. I thought maybe I had bumped the remote or something the first time it happened, but no, it just does that on its own.
I sort of stopped paying attention to it after a while, honestly. It still keeps the room comfortable and I don’t notice it being annoying or anything. If anything, I figure it’s just doing whatever it needs to do to keep things steady. I’m not the type to overthink these things, so as long as it’s still blowing air and the room feels fine, I just let it do its thing.
I’ve only had it for a few weeks though, so I can’t say if this is how it’s always going to behave. But it hasn’t gotten worse or anything, which is good enough for me. I don’t think you’re missing a setting, it just seems to be how the unit operates.
I’ve got pretty average water pressure at my place and it still works fine for washing my car and hosing down the patio. You’re not going to get that insane jet blast like a gas washer, but it definitely does the job for regular dirt and mud. I wouldn’t worry too much about needing super strong flow.
I think it’s basically a spot cooler, so it’s not going to need a window or anything like that. From what I’ve seen, it’s more for blasting cool air right where you’re sitting rather than trying to chill the whole apartment. Seems like a pretty straightforward setup if that’s all you need.
Oh that’s the main reason I upgraded from my old one too, I got so tired of having to check the card all the time. The DashOne Pro just loops around on its own, hasn’t been an issue for me so far.
I’ve been looking at this one for camping too, so thanks for the heads up on the battery. That difference adds up if you’re out for a few nights. Does it still work okay even when the light starts getting dimmer, or does it basically stop catching stuff?
I wouldn’t overthink it too much honestly. I’ve seen people say it mostly figures out the switch on its own, and for a work setting where people are mixing languages it probably does the job well enough.
I tried it once just to see if my phone would even connect, and it did the job for checking the angle before I hit record. Not super snappy, but good enough for a quick look.
I’m tempted by the 6 days too but honestly even 4-5 sounds fine to me if it tracks everything well. I think I’d be happy either way.
I actually got mine mostly for acne and it’s been working fine for me on the blue light setting. I didn’t buy it thinking about wrinkles at all.
Honestly, I wouldn’t overthink it. I’d just slip it in and see what happens, a passport holder isn’t exactly a lead box. I’d be more worried about it slipping out than the signal not working.
I’d probably just leave it running all day if I had one. It’s not like it’s gonna pull the same power as a real AC unit, so the bill shouldn’t jump too much.
Honestly I don’t really get why people worry about timers on something like this. It’s not like it’s a space heater or something that could be a fire hazard if you forget about it. I just fill mine up in the morning and let it run until it sputters out on its own, no big deal.
I mean, I just keep mine on the bed most of the time, but when I’ve had to stash it away for guests it’s never been a hassle. The foam is so bendy it just flops into whatever space is left.
Hmm, I haven’t messed with the sensitivity slider much myself, but I can see why that would get annoying with the street traffic. For me, the false alerts haven’t been a huge deal since I mainly use it to check if the dog got off the couch, and it’s been reliable enough for that.
I keep meaning to mess around more with those zones but I haven’t really tested it that carefully. I just kind of drew a rough shape over a spot where a cat was always wandering through and it seems like it stopped, but I’m not totally sure if I got the edges right. Works fine for what I need though.
