I just leave mine plugged in and haven’t noticed any issues. It’s on a TV I don’t use every day anyway.
I think people overthink the single stage thing a bit. I used mine on an old truck with single stage and it did a decent job with the haze. Not totally sure it’s doing anything special but it didn’t hurt anything either. Seems fine for light oxidation.
I just keep a spare CR2032 in my bag, so I don’t really stress about how long it lasts. When it dies, it dies, and it’s a five second swap.
I think it took me closer to a week before I stopped waking up with drool on my cheek. Works fine now though, partner says the snoring is way better than before.
I got one mostly for car crumbs and dust too, but it actually handles the short dog hair okay for a quick pass. It won’t get every last hair like a full-size shop vac, but it definitely grabs more than it pushes around for me. I’d say it’s fine for touch-ups between proper cleanings.
I’m actually pretty happy with it. Rain-X isn’t going to keep your windows spotless forever, but I find it makes the initial rinse way quicker when I do wash the car. Less scrubbing for me.
I just swap mine when I notice the flow slowing down, which for me takes way longer than four weeks. I think the official schedule is way more for heavy users.
I feel like the ice chamber is just there for a bit of extra coolness, not really gonna mess with the battery since it’s just sitting there doing nothing to the fan itself. The 10 hour mark is probably on low without it, but I’ve had mine last a full day on medium with ice and it was fine.
I think the battery drain thing gets blown out of proportion. I’ve left mine in parking mode for a full weekend before and my sedan started up no problem. The motion detection is pretty good at not recording every single leaf that blows by.
I’ve had mine for a couple months now and I sleep noticeably better with it under the sheet. Could be placebo but I’m not losing sleep over that.
I mean, it’s pretty light so I can’t imagine it just falling off unless you really mess up the installation. Probably fine for most people.
Honestly, I feel like 500 mL is fine for desk use if you’re not expecting it to feel like an air conditioner. I just use mine on low and it’s still running by the time I leave.
I got one a couple weeks ago and honestly it just feels like a normal pillow to me. Not cold or anything, but I haven’t woken up sweaty either. Seems fine.
I don’t really get the concern, honestly. It’s a water tank, not a sealed bottle. Some smell is just what happens.

Huh, I just set the longest timer and walk away. I don’t really think about it as saving time, more like I don’t have to worry if I forgot to turn it off. But I can see how it’s one more button to press if you’re used to just flipping a switch.
I haven’t really timed it but mine feels like it goes quicker when I actually have it pressed against something too. Probably just works harder with the brush and that eats the battery faster. Still does what I need for a quick sweep around the desk though.
Ive been curious about the contrast thing too. I feel like the yellow ones just make everything look yellow and thats about it. If the PolorVision actually does something with the light wavelengths that might make a difference in rain or fog. Hard to know without trying them yourself though.
I’d be more worried about the Wi-Fi on an older TV honestly. If your parents’ place has spotty internet or the router is far from the TV, that’s gonna be the real bottleneck, not the HDMI port itself.
I grabbed one for my ground floor apartment and honestly it picks up the local channels fine. I’m surrounded by buildings too, so I wasn’t expecting much, but the news and the weekend game come in clear. I just stuck it near the window and ran the scan. Works for what I need.
Ive found the sprays help a bit, not a miracle but they take the edge off. I think the bigger thing is making sure the dog is totally dry after a bath, that wet dog smell lingers way longer.
Honestly I just use mine for my keys and it’s fine for that. Never tried it on a dog though, sounds like it would be annoying if the range is that short.

I’d bring it for the vibe, tuning a tiny radio feels more relaxed than scrolling on a phone. If you really want to travel light or hate carrying batteries then skip it, but for a weekend the little charm might be worth the extra bit of weight.
