Left it on a few nights while reading and I think there were slightly fewer bugs right around me, but nothing dramatic. Mostly keep it for the light, not expecting a miracle from the repellent function.
Looks fine as a small camping light, I think the portability and brightness are the real perks. The ultrasonic “invisible barrier” sounds like marketing to me, maybe it helps a bit sometimes but don’t expect miracles.
I think a plain 55-inch TV plus a streaming stick keeps things simple and tidy, and you can always unplug or swap the stick if it starts acting up. Maybe that’s unnecessary fuss, but it’s been my go-to when I want evenings to stay low-key.
They do hold up better than people say, but swirls from washing can appear after just a few washes and little dents from tight parking usually show up over months to a couple years depending on luck. It’s gradual wear, not instant ruin.
Yeah, clear coats usually do better than people complain about. I disagree they last forever though, you’ll still get light scratches and dulling over time.

Random memory: a friend installed a mesh kit and the spot by their big bookshelf stopped cutting out, the extra node in the hall just seemed to reach around the wall and calls stopped stuttering. Not totally sure if it’s magic or just better placement, but it looked like it helped.
Seems like a lot of people say it’s pretty quiet and comfortable, and that it doesn’t heat up aggressively during a 10–20 minute session. I’m not totally sold on fast wrinkle results though, sounds more like slow improvements over months if you’re consistent. Straps supposedly hold up fine but might need a tweak sometimes, so it’s handy for quick sessions.
Really enjoying mine on the train, screen and buttons feel solid. Tiny annoyance though, the power button gets pressed in my bag and wakes it up.
