Strong mode is fine for me on the daily, but I keep the tip moving and don’t linger in one spot. I have noticed if I’m lazy and just hold it there, my gums feel raw the next day. So it’s more about paying attention than the mode itself for me.
I think a lot of it comes down to the pup’s personality more than the age. We got ours when she was around four months and she was already pretty vocal, so we started using it maybe a month later. She’s seven months now and it still works for us, but I will say I only use it when she’s barking at stuff she shouldn’t be, like the mailman or random noises at night. I didn’t want her to associate it with regular play or when she’s alerting us to something actually happening.
The only thing I’d keep an eye on is how your pup reacts to the sound itself. If they seem scared or start hiding, that’s a sign to back off for a bit. Mine just stops and looks around like she’s confused, then goes back to whatever she was doing. That felt fine to me. I guess I’d just watch their body language more than the calendar. Some pups are tougher than others and it really shows with these devices.
I’ve had mine about four months and the filter’s still going fine. I think I paid around 20 bucks for a replacement pack online. Not really sweating the cost, it’s not like you’re swapping them every month.
3 to 4 days sounds pretty normal to me with the heat on. I use mine without heat sometimes and it lasts way longer, but once you turn that on it drains quick. You’re probably fine.
I’ve only had mine a few weeks, but so far it’s just been overwriting old clips without me touching anything. Not sure if you’re supposed to format the card every now and then anyway, but I haven’t bothered yet.
Alright, I just wanted to circle back and say thanks for the thoughts. I ended up grabbing one and honestly for tossing it in a bag for a weekend thing it does what I need without a headache. More than I need probably but I’m not mad about it.
Mine still beads after maybe five or six washes. It’s not as sharp as the first spray but it didn’t just vanish. The shine is what keeps me using it anyway, the water thing is just a bonus.
Honestly, I haven’t had to use mine on anything serious either. I just keep it in the kitchen drawer and hope I never need it. If it leaves a decent mark on skin, it’s probably doing something right.
I’ve had one running for a few weeks now. It’s alright for keeping the odd cat off the patio but I wouldn’t count on it for anything bigger. The LED is definitely brighter than I expected, not a dealbreaker but noticeable.

I don’t have especially small hands but I can see how the handle might be a bit much if you do. The finger hole does help you hold it looser though so maybe give it a try. I’d just make sure you can return it if it doesn’t work out.

It’s basically a fan with mist. It’ll feel cooler if you’re sitting right in front of it but it’s not gonna change the actual temp in the room.

I mean, I just don’t use the ice chamber much for that reason. The 10 hour claim is definitely on low with no ice. If I want colder air for a bit I’ll toss some in, but I know it’s going to cut the runtime in half. Just pick whichever matters more to you at the moment.
I think they’re clear lenses, so yeah, not great as sunglasses. Audio seems fine in normal sun, but I haven’t tested it in heavy wind or traffic.
I think it kind of works, but it’s not a night and day difference once the air starts moving. I’ve had mine on a covered deck where it’s not totally still and it still catches some gnats, just not as many as on a calm night. Not totally sure if a slightly breezy patio would be worth it unless you’re okay with fewer bugs getting zapped.
Good to see I wasn’t alone on the cord thing. I think it works fine for what it is, and I stopped worrying about it after a while.
500 ml gets me through a workday if I’m not running it on high the whole time. I just top it off at lunch and it’s fine for my desk.
