I usually keep my wallet in my back pocket and was wondering if the Guardality card still does its thing when it’s pressed against my cards like that. I know it’s supposed to go in the wallet, but does body heat or pressure mess with it? Just curious if anyone else uses it that way. It seems to work fine in my front pocket, but I’m not sure about the back.

I keep mine in my back pocket and it’s been fine. No issues with heat or pressure so far, and it’s been a few months. I’d say just use it where it’s comfortable.

Keeping a card in your back pocket is asking for it to get sat on and bent anyway. Mine survived a few months there but ended up with a nice curve to it. Function still seemed fine, but a warped card is annoying.

Mine actually stopped scanning reliably after a couple weeks in my back pocket. Not the card itself, my phone just couldn’t read my transit card through it anymore. Front pocket has been fine since.

Back pocket is the one spot I don’t trust with anything card shaped. I had a different RFID card warp just enough from sitting on it all day that it stopped laying flat in my wallet. The Guardality itself might survive, but the cards next to it are what I’d worry about.

Mine lives in my back pocket with my wallet and it’s been working for about a year. No bending issues either. The card’s thin enough that I forget it’s there.

I’ve had mine in my back pocket for maybe six months now, usually right against my transit pass. The card itself still looks brand new, no warping or anything, and my phone still reads the transit card fine when I pull the wallet out. Body heat hasn’t done anything noticeable.

Body heat isn’t really a factor since it’s passive, no electronics to fry or anything. The bigger thing with back pockets is that it only blocks what’s actually next to it. If your wallet has a bunch of cards stacked on one side and the Guardality card is on the other, the cards in between might not get covered as well. I tried mine in my back pocket for a while and it worked, just depends how your wallet is set up. Front pocket is easier to keep it close to the cards you care about.

Mine stays in my back pocket with my wallet and honestly the only thing I notice is it gets a little curved from sitting. Still blocks fine though, I tested it once by trying to tap my card through the wallet and nothing happened. So pressure doesn’t seem to kill it.

I keep mine in my back pocket too and the thing I noticed is it’s less about heat or pressure and more about what’s between the card and whatever you’re trying to protect. When I first got mine I just tossed it in loose with my cards and it was kind of hit or miss, but once I actually sandwiched it right against the stack in the wallet it started working way more consistently. Sitting on it hasn’t really done anything to mine, it’s still flat after probably four or five months of daily use. My only real complaint is my wallet got noticeably thicker with it in there, which sounds dumb but it’s true. Still keeping it back there though since it hasn’t caused any actual problems.

Back pocket is fine for the card itself, but I stopped doing it because the blocking only works if it’s actually between the reader and your cards. Sitting on it all day shifts things around and mine kept ending up off to the side, so it wasn’t doing much. Front pocket or a dedicated slot just works better for me.

Back pocket has worked fine for me, same as the front. I’ve been carrying mine in my wallet back there for a few months and it still does its job. Heat and pressure haven’t been an issue at all.

Back pocket didn’t work out for me. After a couple months the card picked up a permanent bend from sitting on it, and once it curved it stopped protecting anything. Front pocket only now.

Back pocket seems like a bad spot for anything card shaped, the sitting pressure alone would bug me. I’d personally keep it in the front if that’s already working for you.

Mine lives in my back pocket with my wallet and it’s been about a month now. Body heat hasn’t been an issue at all as far as I can tell. It’s more about whether the card is actually sitting between your wallet and the outside, which in my case it does.

I’d be less worried about heat and more about how you sit. The card itself is passive, so it’s not like body warmth is frying anything. But if it’s jammed between your cards and your butt for hours, it’s going to take pressure. That’s the real issue. I’ve seen thin cards and cards get slightly warped from back pocket carry. Once they bend, they can still work, but the blocking part might not be as consistent depending on how it sits against the reader. If it’s working in your front pocket and you don’t want to deal with any of that, just leave it there. Back pocket isn’t some guaranteed failure, but it’s not the ideal spot either.
