14 de July de 2026 at 21:28 in reply to: Flixy setup question – can I keep it plugged in all the time? #5207
Tom CallMemberI leave mine plugged into the TV USB port and it’s been fine for months. The TV cuts power to the port when it’s off anyway, so it’s not really on all the time.
13 de July de 2026 at 20:44 in reply to: ChirpyCharm solar charging question — does it actually work in partial shade? #5143
Tom CallMemberThe battery lasts longer than you’d think. Mine barely gets direct sun in the afternoon and it still works fine.
Tom CallMemberI just toss both in the same slot and never had an issue. Feels like overkill but it’s not like it’s hurting anything either.
12 de July de 2026 at 15:22 in reply to: WaveMax for an older TV without built-in digital tuner? #5058
Tom CallMemberIt’s just an antenna, so the converter box does all the heavy lifting. Should work fine.
Tom CallMemberI noticed that too with YouTube, but it didn’t bother me much since I’m not really watching videos in the car either. Honestly, I’d rather just use my phone directly if I actually wanted to watch something.
Tom CallMemberIt’s not really a big deal. The app looks slightly different on each OS but the translation works the same.
Tom CallMemberI just use mine on high and it usually gets me through a couple grills. Never timed it, but it’s never died on me mid-clean.
26 de June de 2026 at 20:00 in reply to: Vanotium vs wooden board for fish prep – anyone else notice the difference? #3932
Tom CallMemberMine’s been fine for fish. The blade does feel a bit different but nothing that bothers me.
26 de June de 2026 at 16:29 in reply to: Is the WellHeater supposed to be silent when it’s running? #3919
Tom CallMemberI think mine makes a little noise but it’s nothing crazy. I barely notice it once I’m actually working.
26 de June de 2026 at 05:26 in reply to: How well does the Qinux Talkbuds handle fast speakers? #3877
Tom CallMemberI’d probably just use speaker mode if you’re worried about lag, takes the pressure off the AI keeping up. Works okay for me that way.
Tom CallMemberMight be a cable thing. I swapped the one I was using and it sped up a bit on mine.
Tom CallMemberHonestly I wouldn’t count on it lasting a full 8 hours. I keep mine plugged in overnight just to be safe.
20 de June de 2026 at 11:37 in reply to: Is a cordless pressure washer any good for real cleaning? #3475
Tom CallMemberTo be honest, I don’t get the fuss. Mine does the job for what it is.
Tom CallMemberCrank it to high. Low is useless for anything but light dust.
Tom CallMemberMine work fine in bright sun, audio is still clear enough for calls and navigation. Lenses are clear though, not tinted like sunglasses.
17 de June de 2026 at 20:06 in reply to: BareEarth Grounding Mat for better sleep or just placebo? #3274
Tom CallMemberI think it’s fine but not really a game changer. I wouldn’t call it placebo, just not that big of a deal either way.
15 de June de 2026 at 11:56 in reply to: Aptofit sleep tracking – anyone else find it a bit inconsistent? #3075
Tom CallMemberGood to hear it’s not just mine being weird. I still think it’s useful enough for a rough idea of how I slept, just not gonna rely on it too much.
15 de June de 2026 at 06:06 in reply to: Is it normal for the AlarmTag to beep softly when you pull the pin? #3052
Tom CallMemberThat little beep is just the thing booting up. Mine does it too.
Tom CallMemberMine handles the quick back and forth pretty well, but I’ve noticed it stumbles a bit if I mumble or talk over someone. Works fine for normal paced calls though.
13 de June de 2026 at 07:49 in reply to: Does the iTagPro work without being right next to your phone? #2900
Tom CallMemberI use mine for my keys and it works fine for that. The range thing is kind of overblown if you just want to know it’s still nearby.
Tom CallMemberI got one for the shape more than the cooling, but I do think it sleeps a bit less warm than my old foam pillow. Not cold by any means, just not as sweaty.
Tom CallMemberI’ve noticed the same thing actually. Passenger seat seems worse for me too, but I never really figured out if it’s the angle or just bad luck.
10 de June de 2026 at 16:37 in reply to: Does Tagsley need a specific Qi charger or will any pad work? #2731
Tom CallMemberProbably works with most Qi pads. I just use whatever’s lying around and it’s been fine.
Tom CallMemberThey’re not going to blow you away, but it’s not a gimmick either. I’ve played a few rounds of stuff on mine when I’m too lazy to grab my phone. Works fine for what it is.
6 de June de 2026 at 15:53 in reply to: Dustaclean runtime actually 30 mins or less in real use? #2424
Tom CallMemberThe brush definitely eats up battery faster, no question about that. I’ve noticed the same thing but honestly never timed it, just assumed 30 mins is for the bare nozzle only. Still works fine for what it is though.
Tom CallMemberI switched to the Derila Ergo from a flat pillow and it felt tall for maybe the first night. After that I didn’t really notice it. It’s fine for back sleeping, just give it a couple days.
