I’ve been using my FitiBeats for a bit now and they’re fine for music, but during calls I feel like the other person sounds a bit quieter than I’d expect. Is there a setting or something I’m missing, or do I just need to get used to it? I don’t have the volume maxed out or anything, so just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

I noticed the same thing at first, honestly. Call volume felt lower than music volume no matter what I did. I mostly use mine for work calls and podcasts, so it was bugging me for a while.

What changed for me was switching to the call mode instead of just using them in the regular listening mode. I didn’t realize that was even a thing until I messed around with the touch controls one day. It made a noticeable difference on my end. The other person still isn’t super loud, but it’s way more comfortable than before.

Also, I found that having both earbuds in made a difference. I used to just wear one during calls and the volume seemed worse. With both in, it balanced out a bit more. Maybe it’s the noise cancellation kicking in properly or something, I don’t know the technical side of it.

I wouldn’t say I had to get used to it exactly, more like I adjusted how I use them. Took me a couple of weeks to figure out what worked for me. If you’re not maxing out the volume and it still feels quiet, it might just be how these buds handle calls. They’re not bad once you find the right setting, but I do wish the call volume went a little higher.

Mine actually sound louder on calls than music, which is weird because I usually see people saying the opposite. Maybe it depends on how the earbuds sit in your ears or which tips you’re using. I swapped to the smaller ones and it changed the whole balance for me.

I’m in the same boat, call volume definitely sits lower than music for me. Tried switching between the noise canceling and call modes and that helped a little, but it’s still not as loud as I’d like on a busy street. Probably just how the DSP handles voice, so I wouldn’t expect a fix from settings.

Different ear tips made a bigger difference for me than any setting. Swapped to the larger ones and call volume suddenly sounded more normal. Could just be how they sit in your ear. Worth a try before you mess with any settings.

Call volume has been hit or miss for me depending on the device. On my laptop it’s fine, but on my phone it’s noticeably lower. Not a setting issue, just seems inconsistent.

Mine have been the same way since I got them. I just turn the volume up a bit more for calls and it’s fine, but it does feel like the music and call levels are on totally different scales. I haven’t found a setting that fixes it, so I just deal with it.

Call volume being lower than music is pretty common across a lot of earbuds, so it might not be a defect with these specifically. I’d say give it a few more days before deciding if it’s a dealbreaker. If it still bothers you after a week, that’s probably just how they’re tuned.

I actually kind of like that they’re not as loud on calls, if that makes sense? For me it feels more like a natural conversation level, like I’m not getting blasted with the other person’s voice. I’ve had other earbuds where call audio was so loud it was almost jarring when they spoke. With these I just find myself talking at a normal volume instead of feeling like I’m shouting.

I did notice it takes a second to adjust when you switch from music to a call because the difference is pretty noticeable. But once I’m a couple minutes into the conversation I don’t really think about it anymore. I mostly use them for quick calls while I’m doing stuff around the house, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t bother me. I could see it being more annoying if you’re on calls all day for work though.

Mine are actually the opposite. People on the other end sound fine, but I keep getting told my voice sounds like I’m talking from another room. I’ve checked the mic placement and everything. Maybe it’s a bit hit or miss with the call quality on these.

I noticed the same thing when I first got mine, and honestly it threw me off for a bit because I kept expecting call volume to match music volume. But after a few days I just got used to it and now I don’t even think about it. I actually prefer it this way now because I find that if the other person is too loud in my ear, it starts to feel a bit much after a while, especially on longer calls. For me it’s more about comfort than anything else. I do tend to bump the volume up one notch during calls, but that’s about it. I’m not really bothered by it. If anything, I prefer call volume being a bit lower since it keeps me from jumping when someone suddenly talks louder. Music and calls never feel the same on any earbuds I’ve owned anyway.

I think it’s just the nature of these buds honestly. I noticed it too when I first started using mine for work calls, but after a couple of weeks I stopped thinking about it. The music side is definitely the stronger feature here, but the call quality is still perfectly usable once you adjust.
