Plugged mine into a 55″ and honestly it looks fine. The 4K is just upscaling but it does clean up the blocky edges enough that it doesn’t look like a blurry mess. For the price it does what it says.
It’s not going to erase stains that have been sitting there for years. If your coffee stains are still on the lighter side, it can help keep them from getting worse, but don’t expect a dramatic difference. I’d treat it as a maintenance tool, not a fix. If you’re already past the point where you notice them in photos, save your money for a cleaning.
I skipped the ice after the first week. Not because it doesn’t work, but because I couldn’t be bothered to refill trays at work. Water alone is fine if you keep your expectations in check. It’s basically a slightly cooler breeze that also adds some moisture to the air. On a hot afternoon it takes the edge off, but it’s not going to fool you into thinking you’re standing in front of an AC unit. If you’re the type of person who gets annoyed by lukewarm air blowing on you, you’ll probably end up disappointed. I just treat it like a fancy fan with a humidifier built in and it does the job well enough for a desk. The ice made a noticeable difference for about twenty minutes, then it melted and I was back to the same lukewarm breeze anyway. So unless you want to be swapping ice packs multiple times a day, water is the realistic option.
I wouldn’t buy it just for limescale. It helps some, but it’s more about the water feeling less harsh. That’s the part I actually noticed.
The mic isn’t going to suddenly turn into garbage because the main selling point is translation. I’ve taken plenty of regular calls on mine and nobody’s complained about hearing me. If your old pair sounds better, that’s a you thing, not a SonaBuds thing.
Strong mode is fine daily if your gums aren’t already sensitive. The issue is people treat it like a power tool and dig in. I’ve been using it every day for months and my gums are fine, but I also don’t jam the tip against my teeth like I’m chiseling concrete.
Old wiring is probably the real issue here, not the heater itself. I’ve had 800W space heaters trip breakers in older buildings while the same unit worked fine elsewhere. If your outlets are loose or the breaker is already marginal, anything with a steady draw will set it off eventually.
Good to see I’m not the only one who rolled the dice on this. Seems like the wall surface does most of the work, which is what I figured. I’ll give it a shot but I’m keeping the box nearby just in case it takes a dive.
I mean, softer is a pretty subjective thing. I don’t think you’re imagining it, but it’s not like you’re suddenly showering in silk. I figured the main benefit would be less chlorine smell and that’s about what I got.
Guess I’ll see what happens after a few more weeks then. Seems like it varies a lot depending on who you ask. Either way, it’s doing the job so I’m not gonna overthink it.
If you’re never taking the passport out of the RFID holder, then yeah, the Guardality is basically a coaster for your bag. But if you’re like me and end up pulling the passport out at every hotel check-in, it’s kind of nice having that extra layer on the desk or wherever. Just depends on how lazy you are about putting the holder back on.
