I see it’s designed for left or right shoulder, but can you wear it on both at the same time? Or is it strictly one side only? I mostly get tension in both shoulders after sitting at a desk all day, so just wondering if I’d need to switch sides. The product page says “left or right shoulder” but doesn’t clarify if that means one at a time. Anyone tried it?

I wear mine on my right shoulder mostly, but I did try it on the left once and it worked fine. Two at once would be a stretch though, I don’t think the strap is set up for that. So yeah you’d probably be switching sides.

I don’t think needing to switch sides is a big deal. I just use mine on whichever shoulder is bugging me more that day, and the other one usually settles down on its own. Two of these at once sounds awkward anyway.

I actually tried doubling mine up once because I get the same both-shoulder thing from desk work. It technically fits but the straps overlap weirdly and one side kept slipping off my arm, so it wasn’t really usable. I just do one shoulder, then switch for the second 12-minute round.

Two at once sounds like more hassle than it’s worth. I usually just alternate mine between shoulders during a session and that covers both sides well enough for me.

The product page says left or right because it’s built to wrap one shoulder at a time, not both. Two of them would just fight over your neck.

I looked into this before buying mine and the short answer is one at a time. The shape is molded for a single shoulder, so it curves around one side and the strap anchors across your chest. I don’t own two so I can’t say what two would feel like together, but putting one on each shoulder isn’t really how it’s built.

For what it’s worth, my tension is mostly both sides too from desk work, and I just run a session on one side, then flip it to the other. The 12 minute auto shutoff makes that easy enough.

Two units would also mean two chargers and double the cost, which is the part that put me off even trying it. If both shoulders are genuinely bad every day, a wrap style massager that goes across your whole upper back might suit you better than two of these.

One side only, based on how it’s shaped.

I don’t own one, but I looked at these pretty hard last year because I get the same desk tension in both shoulders. From what I could tell, the shape is the whole problem. It’s molded to cup one shoulder, so strapping a second one on isn’t really a thing unless you want them fighting each other around your neck.

What put me off is that 12 minute session limit. If you have to run it on one side, then wait and flip it, you’re basically committing half an hour to cover both shoulders. That’s a lot of sitting around for something that’s supposed to be convenient. For me it made more sense to just get up and stretch every hour than to babysit a device twice.

Not saying it’s junk, the heat and compression combo sounds decent for one sore side. I just don’t think it solves the both shoulders at once thing, and the product page is vague about it on purpose.

One on each shoulder actually felt fine to me.

I actually disagree with the whole “just alternate sides” thing. I’ve been using mine on each shoulder back to back for about a month and it’s been fine, the strap adjusts enough that it doesn’t feel awkward. Slightly more fiddling than one side, but not a hassle.

Mine only really sits right on one shoulder at a time, so I just do one side then the other after work. Takes an extra minute but it’s not a big deal. If both are bugging you, that routine still gets the job done.

I’ve had mine since spring and I use it on both shoulders, just not at the same time. It sits best on whichever side you’ve got it on, so I do my left for the 12 minutes while I’m answering emails, then move it over to the right during my next break. Honestly the switching part bugged me at first because I wanted both done at once, but it ended up being a nice excuse to step away from the screen twice instead of once. I keep it on the charger between uses so it’s always ready. If you’re mostly sore on both sides after desk days, that back and forth routine works fine, it’s just not a set it and forget it thing.

I wouldn’t bother trying to wear it on both sides at once. Mine slipped around constantly when I tried, so it ended up being more annoying than helpful. I just picked the shoulder that bugs me more and left it at that.

Probably one side only, it’s shaped for a single shoulder.

I only have one of these and I’ve never really thought about strapping a second one on, but I did wonder the same thing before I bought it. From what I can tell, the shape kind of wraps toward one side, so I just do my left shoulder during my lunch break and the right one later while watching TV. Not ideal if you want both done at the same time, but it still beats not using anything at all.

Two of them at once sounds ridiculous and expensive. Just get a heating pad for the desk if both sides bother you.

I actually wear mine across the front like a collar sometimes instead of picking a side. Not saying that’s how it’s meant to go, but it hits both trap areas at once and stays put better than I expected. The compression feels a bit different that way, less focused on one spot, more like a general warm squeeze. I still use it normally on one shoulder most days, but when both sides are bugging me after a long stretch at the computer, that’s my go to. It’s not two separate massagers working independently, so if you want really targeted attention on each side, you’d still be better off doing them one after the other. But for general tension across the whole upper back and shoulder area, the collar trick works fine for me. Just play with the strap tension a bit.

I keep seeing people say one at a time and I sort of get why, but I think the whole “it only works on one shoulder” thing is a bit overstated. When I’m really tight after a long day at my desk, I just put it on the side that’s bugging me more, run the 12 minute session, and then flip it to the other side while I’m still sitting there. It’s not like you have to get up and do a whole routine, it’s cordless so it’s genuinely easy to just move it over. Two sessions back to back is only like 25 minutes total. That said I do think the strap is shaped for one shoulder at a time, so wearing it across both would probably be awkward. But switching isn’t a big deal at all, and honestly the heat on the second side feels just as good as the first.
