I usually just run mine with water and it’s fine for my desk. The ice chamber seems like an extra step I’d probably forget about half the time anyway.
I wasn’t sure if I had mine adjusted right at first, so that whole “works night one” thing felt off. Took maybe three nights of fiddling with the fit before it started doing what I expected.
I usually just go by feel when I’m standing still and then do a quick bend of the knee to see if it shifts. If it stays put after a few squats you’re probably in the right zone.
I just stuck mine on a shelf near a window and it picks up channels fine. Not totally sure if the height makes a huge difference unless you’re in a weird spot. Probably depends on your house more than anything.

I mean, if you’re not leaving the country much, the global roaming is just extra stuff you’re paying for without using. The data saver mode works fine wherever you are, it’s not really tied to traveling. I’d say it’s still a decent little router, just maybe not the best value if you never touch the main feature.
I’ve seen a few people say the finger hole makes up for the handle size, but honestly my hands are pretty small and I found the overall shape still felt a bit chunky after a while. It’s not uncomfortable right away, but it didn’t disappear for me during longer use. The balance is nice, I’ll give it that, but the grip is what got to me.

I think 12 hours sounds fine honestly. If both the light and repellent are running at the same time it’s going to drain faster than just using one or the other. I wouldn’t overthink it.
I haven’t tried mine in anything stronger than a light breeze yet, but it didn’t really move much with just some rope tied to a couple of fence posts. I feel like it would have to be pretty windy before I’d worry about it flying off, but I guess it depends how you set it up.

Matte paint is a bit of a gamble with any polish, but I wouldn’t stress too much about it. If it worked fine on your car’s clear coat, it’s probably the same deal here. I’d just wipe a tiny hidden spot and if it looks good, move on.

I think people overthink the learning thing a bit. Mine sat for two weeks once and it seemed fine after a day or two of normal driving.

I just checked mine and the adapter that came in the box let me clip it onto an old handlebar mount I had laying around. Seemed to fit fine without any wobble.
I messed around with one of those simple puzzle games on mine while waiting for a show to buffer and it worked fine. Definitely not a reason to buy the stick, but it’s there if you get bored. I wouldn’t overthink it.
I mean, if the wattage is the same the bill will basically be the same. I’d just go with whatever feels nicer to sit next to.
