I’ve had my Dustaclean for a few weeks now and it’s fine for quick jobs around the desk and car. But I’m noticing the runtime seems shorter than 30 minutes when I use the brush attachment. Anyone else find that or is my unit just a bit off?

Honestly, 30 minutes is probably the “no attachments, light dust” number. Slap a brush on there and the motor works harder, battery drains faster. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

I noticed the same thing with mine, but honestly it still does what I need for a quick sofa or keyboard cleanup before I sit down to work. The brush attachment definitely chews through battery faster but I just keep it charging by my desk so it’s always ready when I grab it.

Mine does the same with the brush, I think it’s just how it is. Doesn’t bother me much because I usually just use it for a quick pass on the sofa or the car seats and that’s still enough time to get the job done.

Never timed mine, but 30 minutes feels generous even without the brush. That thing drains fast once it’s actually pulling air through something.

30 minutes is just their lab number. Real world use with any attachment cuts that down. Mine barely lasts 20 with the brush. Still works for what it is though.

I haven’t timed mine either but it feels like it runs out faster when I’m using it on the sofa, maybe the motor just works harder with more resistance. I’m not totally sure if it’s supposed to be exactly 30 minutes or if that’s just a best case number. It still picks up crumbs fine for a quick pass so I haven’t really thought about it much.

I haven’t timed mine either, but it always dies quicker than I expect when I’m using it on the couch cushions. I just figured that’s normal for this type of thing.

I haven’t really timed it but mine feels like it goes quicker when I actually have it pressed against something too. Probably just works harder with the brush and that eats the battery faster. Still does what I need for a quick sweep around the desk though.

I never really timed mine, I just use it until it stops and that usually feels like less than what they claim. The brush probably slows it down but I don’t mind much for quick jobs.

I just use mine until it dies and don’t really pay attention to the clock, but it always gets me through a couple of cushion and carpet spot cleans before it needs charging. Maybe you got a slightly weaker battery though.

I haven’t timed mine either, but I mostly use it with the crevice nozzle for car cup holders and it seems to last long enough for that. I kind of assumed the brush would drain it faster just because it has more resistance or something. Not really an issue for me since I only do short bursts anyway.

30 mins sounds right on paper but I think it depends what you’re doing. The brush probably drags it down a bit.

I’ve had mine since launch and the brush definitely kills the battery faster, but 30 minutes is probably accurate if you’re just using the bare nozzle on a hard surface. For quick jobs around the house it’s still been solid for me.

I just use mine without paying much attention to the timer. The brush head does seem to drain it faster but it still handles the crumbs on my couch fine before it dies.

Battery claims on these things are always exaggerated. 30 minutes probably means with nothing attached on low power in a perfect lab. The brush is a drag, that’s just physics.

Guess that explains it then. I’ll just keep the brush for the tougher spots and use the bare nozzle when I want it to last longer. Works for me.
