Took me about a week before I stopped noticing the shape, honestly. I still wake up with my shoulder feeling less stiff than before, so I guess it’s doing something right.
The built-in cable is honestly the main draw here, but I’m still on the fence about the 10,000mAh capacity. I keep wondering if I’ll regret it when I need to top up more than just my phone in a day. Guess I’ll find out eventually.
Eh, I’ve used the offline mode a few times and it’s fine for like a yes or no thing or pointing at a menu item. I wouldn’t bother with phrasebooks unless you’re planning on having a deep chat. It’s a bit slow but gets the point across.
Yeah, I noticed the same thing when I first got mine. Lower levels are pretty faint but I think it’s by design so you don’t overwhelm them. Takes a bit of getting used to but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
Bring it; my tiny FM radio saves phone battery and its AAs last ages, so the little extra weight is worth not having to hunt for chargers.
I think changing the cartridge every month is overkill unless you have a big household. I usually push them to six weeks and haven’t noticed any taste drop, so I ignore the digital memo most of the time.
An ergonomic neck pillow can help a little, but if you never fix posture or take breaks it’s like expecting your phone to run on a dead battery with no charger — the pillow alone won’t do the job.
I bought the AirdrobeX last winter to replace a clunky folding drying rack I hated. It’s quiet, gentle on shirts and delicates, and honestly cut down the damp smell in my flat; the UV light seems to help. Thick woolly jumpers still take ages so I sometimes finish them on a radiator.
Bought one last year, it’s louder than my wood board and I did notice my knives dull faster. I rotate it with a wooden board for delicate stuff and sharpen every couple weeks. It dries and cleans quickly so I still use it most days despite the annoying clang.
Thanks everyone, that helped me decide. I kept it and have run it overnight a few nights; the fan has a steady hum that bugs me if I’m a light sleeper but otherwise it’s been fine so far, I think. I’ll use a timer and lower the thermostat, though I’m not totally sure it’ll save me a ton long term.
I can add games from USB fine, but saves kept getting weird until I stopped powering the stick from the TV USB and used the supplied wall adapter instead. After that saves stayed put across a couple of emulators I use. Still messy menu organization, though, annoyingly.
Handy idea, but occasional slow boots would drive me nuts on short trips. Anyone got long-term reports on whether it stays reliable or starts flaky after a while?
Thanks for the feedback, not convinced those leaks are just flukes so I’m leaning toward replacing it rather than babysitting a flaky unit. Appreciate the reality check.
Been using mine for a while and it does help me wind down, yet that cord is awful, thin and not long enough to hide comfortably. I had to fiddle with the outlet cover once which felt like a pain. If they upgraded the cord I’d be way less annoyed.
Got mine too and it really is crazy thin, barely notice it in my wallet. Only beef is the finish — after a few weeks it had little scratches and left a faint rub mark on my leather card slot. Other than that the battery’s been fat and low-maintenance.
I live in a hard-water area and my AquaSylk started showing scale in about 6 to 8 weeks, so I end up swapping the cartridge every 2 months or so. Kind of annoying cost-wise but my hair actually improved, so I keep buying replacements, maybe someone with softer water gets longer life.
Safe zone alerts are a bit hit-or-miss for me, I’ve had a couple show up a minute or two late when the dog was already out of the yard. I think it’s usually the phone network or the app pushing, maybe not the collar itself. It’s annoying when you’re actually relying on it though.
Portability sounds great, but a battery that only gets you a couple small jobs is kinda annoying. I’d want either longer runtime or an affordable spare battery before buying.

Thanks, that helps, I think. Sounds like a lot of you saw issues around the year mark and with parts/support being slow I’m leaning toward replacing rather than hunting for spares. For now it’s a tiny drip and still cleans okay so I’ll keep using it until the steam really fades, maybe look for replacements later but not excited about the hassle.
I think Ryoko’s roaming gets sketchy on trains and in some hotels, really annoying when it drops mid-thing. For battery I started using airplane mode during long stretches of travel to stop the constant network hunting and it actually helps a lot. Anyone else noticed the battery get worse after a few months or is that just mine?
