Mark Carrell
MemberI’ve got one in a bedroom that gets cooked by afternoon sun. It works well enough for me, but I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. The remote is fine, but I mostly just set it before the heat hits.
16 de July de 2026 at 09:16 in reply to: Pro Capture battery life when using WiFi for the app? #5295Mark Carrell
MemberIt’s pretty normal with WiFi on. I noticed the same thing but honestly it’s not a deal breaker for me since I mostly use it without the app anyway. Still gets me through a solid hike.
11 de July de 2026 at 14:45 in reply to: Is the Glokore Filtered Showerhead easy to clean if buildup happens? #4993Mark Carrell
MemberNah, I’d say it’s actually less hassle than a regular one. The outside is smooth plastic so scale doesn’t really grab onto it, and the filter is sealed away inside so you don’t have to mess with it until it’s time to swap it. I think most people overcomplicate it.
11 de July de 2026 at 08:32 in reply to: ChirpyCharm solar charging question — does it actually work in partial shade? #4971Mark Carrell
MemberI’ve had mine in a spot that gets afternoon shade and it’s been okay so far. Battery hasn’t dropped to zero on me, but I do notice it takes longer to recharge if we get a few cloudy days in a row. Not a dealbreaker for me though.

MemberI’ve left mine on for full 8-hour stretches a few times and didn’t notice much difference on my bill. It pulls way less power than a window unit.

MemberBoost mode kills the battery, plain and simple. I get about three weeks in Everyday mode.

MemberWarm is normal, hot isn’t. If you can hold it fine, I wouldn’t sweat it.
23 de June de 2026 at 09:50 in reply to: Hewelth ReliefChain heat mode – does it get actually warm or just kinda warm? #3688Mark Carrell
MemberI actually turn mine on and off during use. I like the warmth but sometimes I want it more subtle so I just run it for a bit then shut it off. Works fine for me that way.

MemberI barely touch mine once I set the speed I want, so the wiggle hasn’t really been an issue for me.

MemberThanks for all the replies. Sounds like it’s easy enough to swap, so I’ll just grab one and not overthink it.
20 de June de 2026 at 17:21 in reply to: Epicooler heating vs cooling, anyone else notice one is way stronger? #3495Mark Carrell
MemberThe heating definitely feels more immediate, but that’s just how heat works. I wouldn’t overthink it.

MemberPretty much any decent class 10 card will do the job. I wouldn’t risk it with some old slow card though, just grab a new one.

MemberI just turn down the ambient sound manually in the app when I’m in a loud spot. It’s not perfect but helps enough to get by.

MemberI’d just try it and see. On darker paint it’s not gonna be magic, but for light scuffs it should knock them down enough to not catch your eye every time. Works fine for that.
