I’ve just been running mine with water and it’s fine for my office. The ice chamber feels like more hassle than it’s worth for maybe a slightly cooler start.
I’ve got the Nunawave and I wear a retainer, not braces, but if the mouthguard is as flexible as mine is I could see it being a pain with brackets. The light part is what I’d actually care about, and I’m not sure it’d get through all that metal to do much for your gums anyway. I’d probably wait, but I also wouldn’t want to deal with the hassle of it snagging on stuff.
I gave mine a shot on my car seats and it grabbed the loose stuff fine. The hairs that were really woven in there still needed a bit more work though. For a quick tidy up between washes it’s good enough for me.
I’d probably just try the wall mount if you can spare the time. It keeps the air from bouncing off anything behind it, which seemed to help in my setup. Not a huge difference, but noticeable if the room gets stuffy.
I get the concern, but I think the finger hole really does make up for it. Ive got smaller hands and it locks your grip in place so you are not fighting the handle at all. Feels fine even after a while.
I put mine under the case and never thought twice about it. The whole point is it’s passive, so a bit of plastic shouldn’t change anything.
I can see the red light flash sometimes when I’m really going at it in the morning, but I’m not totally sure if I’m actually brushing softer because of it or just noticing it after the fact. It seems to work when it lights up, just not sure I’ve changed my habits much because of it.
I tossed a couple in my shed and honestly couldn’t tell if it actually kept anything away or if I just stopped noticing the smell after a week. It’s hard to judge unless you’re really paying attention to droppings or damage.
I think it handles fast talkers better than I expected, honestly. I’m a fast talker myself and I’ve had a few conversations where it kept up without any awkward pauses. Not perfect every time but it doesn’t feel like the AI is falling behind constantly.
I sleep with mine on low every night and it’s barely noticeable. No humming or weird noises, just a soft whoosh that blends into the background.
I’ve worn mine on a few really bright days and didn’t have trouble hearing calls or podcasts over wind. Sound quality drops a bit in heavy traffic but still usable. The lenses are definitely clear, not tinted, so you’ll still need proper sunglasses for glare. I don’t mind it much since I usually clip them onto my actual shades.
I think it probably still helps with the air quality even if the direct light is blocked. I mostly notice it killing weird smells in my place more than worrying about every surface. But yeah, if you’re banking on it hitting behind the couch it’s probably not doing much back there.
I run mine on low at my desk and the tank lasts me a full shift. I just fill it up when I get in and maybe top it off if I’m working late. It’s not gonna freeze you out or anything, but it’s fine for a little airflow.
I think it’s fine for the price. I don’t notice it much after a few minutes and it doesn’t slide around when I’m just sitting there reading. Not something I’d wear while moving around much though.
Kinda in the same boat here. I figure if the light is on and my bill didn’t go up, maybe it’s doing something quietly in the background. I’d probably just leave it plugged in and forget about it for a few months before deciding.
I think you’re probably fine. The adapter that comes with it should let you use whatever mounts you already have lying around. I didn’t have to buy anything new for mine.
I get it, the old phrasebook apps were good enough for the basics if you didn’t mind the menu digging. The Enence offline just feels more natural since you’re not reading off a screen, you’re just talking. For quick travel stuff it’s less fuss for me.
I’m still figuring out if I’m using mine right honestly. I just twist it on and hope for the best, but my hair does feel less like straw after a shower. Might just be the softer water feel, but it’s not hurting anything so I’ll keep it.
Pretty sure you can just put your own SIM in it, that’s what I do with mine. The slot is unlocked, no issues with different carriers. I never even bothered with their plan, just tossed in a travel SIM and it worked right away.
It’s probably just the wifi and bluetooth running at the same time, that’s gonna use more power than a cable. I wouldn’t overthink it.
I got one and honestly the main thing I noticed was way less of that gross feeling on my skin after a shower. The water still leaves some spots on the glass, but it’s a lot better than before.
Pretty much what I figured. The app works for one bulb but once you start adding more it gets clunky. I’ll probably grab a hub eventually just to keep things simple. Thanks for the input, that clears it up for me.
I’ve seen plenty of people just mount them higher on the wall and call it a day. Ear level behind your head might be a bit much depending on how close you sit.
I’ve used the offline mode on mine a few times and it’s been fine for simple stuff like asking directions or ordering food. The delay is there but not bad enough to make me pull out a phrasebook instead.
Thanks for all the replies, that cleared things up. I’m just gonna stick with Bluetooth for now since I only need to control that one lamp. Works fine for me and I don’t feel like adding another hub to my shelf.
