Same here, noticed it the other night when the timer shut it off. I figured it was just the unit clicking off, doesn’t really bother me.
Huh, I haven’t really noticed that myself. I’ve been using mine for raw chicken a few times a week and it feels fine to me. Maybe it’s just a matter of getting used to the surface.
Thanks for all the input, everyone. Sounds like it’s mostly about using the right drill bit and not overthinking it. I’ll probably just give it a shot this weekend and see how it goes.
I got one a few weeks ago and honestly medium is fine for me. Not dead silent but nothing like my old desk fan that sounded like a lawnmower.
Honestly, it sounds like overthinking. If you just want something for weekend trips and basic photos, this thing is fine. The setup is basically charge, unfold, and go. I wouldn’t overcomplicate it.
I usually just turn the heat on because it’s there and figure it can’t hurt. For me it’s more about the traction doing the work anyway.
Yeah I checked mine after a couple months and there was definitely some discoloration on the filter, so it’s grabbing something from the old pipes. Pressure stayed fine for me too. I’d say just let it do its thing and check it whenever you remember.
I bought a tub of it for my kitchen sink a few weeks ago and it’s been fine for the slow draining issue I had. The foam seems to get in there and loosen stuff up without needing to take anything apart. Not a miracle cure but it did what I needed.

Honestly, I think you’re overthinking it a bit. I’ve taken mine out for a few afternoons and even with some translation use here and there, I never ran out before the day was over. The case tops them off pretty quick too if you’re just sitting down for lunch.
I just took mine out last weekend in a completely dark field and the footage was way better than I expected. You can clearly see animals moving and what they are, not just blobs. It’s not cinema quality but for what it is, it does the job fine for identifying stuff.
I think 12 hours sounds about right if you’re running both the light and repellent. The repellent part seems to eat up a lot of the battery, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
I figure if the website specifically says it’s fine for bathrooms, that’s probably good enough. It’s not like you’re dunking it in the tub.
