I ran mine in a detached garage for a full winter and it didn’t have any issues with the cold. The bigger problem was that I only had one unit and the space was packed with shelves and boxes, so the coverage was spotty. If your garage is fairly open, it should be fine.
I’ve noticed it too, the pads on mine definitely feel lighter than what I remember from my older unit. They still work fine for me, but I do wonder if they’ll need replacing sooner. I guess time will tell.
I think it’s been fine for me so far. I’ve used save states on a few different games and haven’t lost anything yet. Maybe it depends on the rom or how you’re using it but mine seems to handle them okay.
I get around the same, 4 hours or so. Still gets me through my commute and a coffee run so it’s not really bothering me. Maybe the advertised number is just best case.
Never really bothered me that much, to be honest. I just hold it like a regular pen and take a quick break if my hand feels stiff. Works fine for what it is.
I’d probably just wipe it down when I think of it and not stress too much. The filter part is inside so it’s not like you’re scrubbing that every week. Seems like it’d be less annoying than a metal head that gets all crusty.
I’ve had mine for about a month and honestly, my old TV used to flicker when the AC kicked on and that’s stopped. Could be a coincidence but I’m not complaining.

Honestly, 12 hours with the repellent running doesn’t sound crazy to me. The light barely uses power on low, but that repellent function seems to drain a lot more than people expect.
I had the Clip 3 and the clip on that was tiny, so the 5 looks like a decent step up in that department. I’d mainly use it for clipping onto a belt loop while walking around the house, and it sounds like it’d be fine for that. Might still be a bit snug on thicker jacket pockets, but probably not a dealbreaker for most people.
I mean, it’s a heater with a fan, so it’s not gonna be totally silent. I wouldn’t worry about it for an office though, I barely notice mine.
Mine doesn’t seem to get all that warm honestly. I’ve touched it a few times and it felt basically room temperature to me.
I never really expected it to lower the temperature of the room. I just keep it on my desk pointed at me and that’s enough for a hot afternoon.
I wouldn’t risk it on matte paint myself. That cloth is designed to polish, which is basically the opposite of what you want on a flat finish.
I mean, darker paint does hide minor stuff better in general, so even if the cloth doesn’t totally erase a scuff, it’s probably less visible after.
I’d probably not bother moving it honestly. Once you get used to having it in the bedroom it’s fine where it is, and the bathroom already gets warm enough from the shower anyway.
I used to wake up a lot too, and for me it turned out the room was too dry. Added a small humidifier and it helped enough that I don’t really think about it anymore. Could be worth a shot if you haven’t tried it.
I think as long as the HDMI port is actually working it should be fine. The only thing I’d wonder about is maybe not getting the full picture quality if it’s an older standard, but for regular streaming it would probably do the job.
I’ve got a pair of PolorVision and honestly they’re fine but not life changing. The contrast thing is subtle enough that I wouldn’t notice if I hadn’t been told about it. Works the same as any other pair of glasses to me.
Appreciate the replies. I ended up just leaving mine on stands at ear level for now and it sounds fine to me. Might tweak the angle a bit but honestly not stressing over it. Thanks for the input.
I run mine on medium during the workday and it usually lasts around 4 or 5 hours before I need to plug it in. That’s been enough to get me through the morning without worrying about it. For just a few hours at a desk, I think you’d be fine.
I think it really depends on how many bulbs you end up with. For just one lamp, Bluetooth is fine, but once you get a few more it gets annoying switching between them individually. I’m not totally sure a hub is worth it for just a couple rooms though.
It’s probably fine. I get a handful of alerts most days and mine have been going for over a year without changing them. I wouldn’t overthink it.
Honestly, I wouldn’t say it loosens up much. It stays pretty snug, which is kind of the point so it doesn’t fall out. A little tightness the first few nights is normal, but it should feel secure not painful. If it’s really digging in, you might need to remold it.
