Old wiring is a beast, honestly. I had a similar thing happen with a tiny 500W heater in my last place, so I get it. Mine’s been fine here, but the outlet it’s in is newer. If it keeps tripping, I’d try another outlet first before blaming the heater.
The first time I ran mine along a dry patch of lawn I thought the same thing. It looked like a mini dirt storm behind me. What I noticed after a few uses is that a lot of it comes down to how much throttle you’re giving it. I backed off the trigger a little and kept the head just above the soil instead of digging in, and it calmed down quite a bit.
Still throws stuff, no question. But I found that a decent chunk of it was me trying to cut too low and too fast. The steel wires are stiff so they don’t bend away like nylon, they just hammer through everything and send it flying. You kind of adjust your angle after a while and it becomes less of a mess.
The title made me laugh because I had the same thought the first time. It definitely prefers fresh messes over old ones. Still, I get why people like it for regular upkeep.
I’ve got pretty standard pressure and mine works fine for washing the car. Takes a bit longer on dried on bugs, but it still gets them off.
I think it’s fine for what you’re talking about. The setup is simple and the app works. It might be more than you need but that doesn’t really matter if it does what you want.
I just use mine for basic step counting and it does that fine without the phone. Seems like a non-issue if you’re not needing maps.
I usually just run mine on low with oscillation and it lasts me through a work day without much trouble. Haven’t really tested it on high though.
Honestly I’d just give it a shot. Mine gets a few hours of morning sun and then shade and it’s been fine. If it drains too fast you can always top it off with USB.
I think it probably works fine for a slow drain since it’s not like you’re fighting a full blockage. The foaming stuff might help loosen things up a bit. Not totally sure how it compares to something stronger though.
I just use water most of the time and it’s fine for my desk. The ice chamber gives it a little extra kick if it’s really hot, but not enough that I’d stress about it.
It’s been fine for me, no real complaints. I just use it for streaming and it does the job without much fuss.
Honestly, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Slight audio delay with video is pretty normal for wireless adapters. I just use mine for music and maps anyway.
