I ran mine through a little hub for a while and CarPlay still paired fine, but charging got noticeably slower for whatever was on the other port. Not a dealbreaker, just something to expect. If the hub is decent it should at least be usable.
I mainly use mine on the bathroom and the kitchen sink area, and I have cut way back on buying the usual bathroom spray. The steam does a good job on soap scum and everyday grime, and I like not having the smell of cleaners hanging around after. But I never expected it to fully replace everything. I still keep one all purpose spray under the sink because sometimes I just want to wipe something fast without plugging anything in and waiting for it to heat up. It’s more about using fewer products overall than going completely chemical free for me. The cord is the part that bugs me most, since I’m usually moving between rooms, but that’s just how it is with these. I didn’t stop buying cleaners completely, but I buy a lot less than I used to.
I have the Glokore mask and use it while folding laundry or tidying up, so it’s definitely not chained to a wall outlet during a session. The mask itself runs on its own once it’s charged, and the wire is only there when you need to top it up. I usually charge mine after a couple of sessions and that’s been enough for my routine. The only thing I’d say is that the charging bit takes a while, so if you’re the type to forget, you might find yourself waiting around before a session. But during actual use, I’ve walked from room to room with zero issues. It’s a wearable mask, that’s kind of the whole point of it. So if walking around is what you’re after, that part works fine.
The grainy smear thing hasn’t been my experience at all. Mine is perfectly usable in that in-between light, and that’s actually when I take it out most. The bats against the sky show up as clear little silhouettes.
I just use the date on my receipt since the box doesn’t have one. My last one lasted a little over four years before the numbers started acting weird, so I replaced it then.
I use mine mostly for the heat, weirdly enough. It gets warm enough that I notice it right away on my neck, and I’ve caught myself leaving it on longer than the timer just for that. Not a heating pad, sure, but it does more than tingle for me.
Mine survived a whole week on a hotel mirror last month, no sliding at all. Painted walls are hit or miss for me too, but I just avoid those now. The magnet is honestly the main reason I keep using it while traveling.

The battery is mainly there so it keeps monitoring while the power is out, which is the part that matters most to me. The screen goes dark to save power, so you won’t see numbers, but if something goes wrong, it will still sound off. I would not want a detector that just dies with the lights.
I tend to go the other direction and use fewer pouches than most people seem to. I have a pretty open living room connected to the dining area and I only put one in there. Two if you count the one near the back door, but that’s more for the doorway than the room itself.
For me it’s never been about the size of the room so much as where the activity is. I noticed little droppings along one baseboard in the hallway, so that’s where I concentrated them. That hallway is tiny and it still took two pouches to make a difference there. Meanwhile the big open kitchen has one and I haven’t seen anything in months.
So I wouldn’t automatically double up just because the space is open. Watch where the actual problem is and put them there instead. If you’re not seeing signs of activity, one might be all you need for now.
I just don’t rinse mine anymore unless I’m cleaning it after meat. For everyday use I wipe it down with a damp cloth and that seems to avoid the tacky feeling altogether. The stickiness never bothered me much though since it disappears pretty fast.
I think people get too caught up in how old a chain is. If the chain has been treated badly, like run into dirt or rocks repeatedly, no sharpener is going to fix that damage. The tool just sharpens what is there. It won’t fix a chain that’s already beyond saving.
Slight unevenness is just part of it unless you’re using a brand new chain. I’ve had mine about six months and I still get a tooth that looks off here and there. What changed for me was accepting that it’s a hand tool, not a machine. If it cuts straight and doesn’t pull, I’m happy and move on.

I wouldn’t use it for a quick touch up, but if you’re already cleaning the bathroom, it saves you from pulling out a separate spray bottle.
Mine’s been pretty snappy honestly. I’ve had it about three weeks now and the delay is barely noticeable compared to what I was dealing with before. Probably depends on where you are when you check in, but for home use it’s been fine for me.

I think a lot of it comes down to how long you leave the camera sitting on standby. I noticed mine drains noticeably quicker if I just turn the screen off but leave the camera in that idle state instead of fully powering it down. It’s easy to think it’s off when it’s really just sleeping. Once I got into the habit of actually holding the power button until the little light goes out, the drain slowed way down. I also stopped checking the footage on the built-in screen during the hike and just waited until I got home. That screen pulls a surprising amount of juice. I’d say what you described sounds pretty normal for the first few times out until you figure out how it behaves.
