Passport leather is thicker than a normal wallet, but Find My doesn’t need line of sight. Bluetooth goes through a lot of stuff.
I’d want to see some actual test results before I’d call it a must-have for phones. A quick wipe is probably doing more. But if it makes the room smell less stale, I guess that’s something.
Mounting it high up is just more hassle than it’s worth. I threw mine on a low shelf behind a plant and it pulls in everything I need. People blow this way out of proportion.
People keep hyping the data saver mode like it’s some magic fix, but if your signal is decent it’s barely noticeable. The battery backup is more useful if you’re moving around town, but for a static home setup it’s just an extra device sitting there. Not really overkill, just unnecessary if you’re not actually traveling.
Pretty sure that’s just how these things work. If the room’s already wet you’re not getting any cooling out of it, just more humidity.
Works fine for me. I notice the red light when I’m brushing too hard, but it’s not something I think about constantly. Does what it’s supposed to do.
Not really sure what people expect from a device in this price range in total darkness. It’s not like you’re gonna get broadcast quality footage.
Mine slides out fine, never really thought it felt flimsy. Works fine for what it is, just a handle on a scale.
I’d be more worried about the outlet location than the humidity honestly. If it’s near the sink or tub you’re asking for trouble no matter what the safety specs say.
I wouldn’t lose sleep over the hum thing. I just need it quieter than my AC unit and it’s fine for that.
Not really a big deal honestly. I’ve used mine in a noisy bar and it was fine. The translation gets a bit laggy sometimes but still understandable. Just don’t expect it to be perfect.
I just use a file freehand and it works fine for me. Never saw the point in adding another gadget to the toolbox.
I’d be more worried about the user than the tool if it skips or scratches. Going too fast or pressing too hard is probably the issue, not the engraver itself.
I think you’re overthinking it. The lamp still covers whatever it can reach, and that’s better than doing nothing. Half a room cleaned is still half a room.
Honestly, I asked the question and after reading through the replies, it sounds about what I figured. No one actually tested it against a real meter. Guess I’ll just keep using the finger stick and treat the watch numbers as decoration.

TV mode works fine for pulling out voices, so you’ll probably catch more than you do now. Whether it’s worth it depends on how much the missing dialogue actually bothers you. I’d rather just bump the TV volume myself, but that’s me.
It’s not heavy, if that’s what you’re worried about. Straps hold it fine, but you’ll notice it’s there after ten minutes. I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable, just not something you forget about. Works fine for what it is though.
I popped my own SIM in and it worked, but I wouldn’t call it a game changer. Feels like the whole thing is just a middleman for whatever network it grabs onto.
Honestly, I’d probably just try it and see what happens. If it slips, a piece of tape or something under the front would fix it fast. Not really something to lose sleep over.
Mine stayed put from the start, but I also made sure to really press it into my teeth during the molding process. Might be worth redoing the mold if it keeps slipping.
I’d probably just look at the weight and expect it to get pushed around if the wind picks up. Not totally sure why people expect a cheap foldable to be a rock in the air. If it’s working for you near the coast on a calm day that’s fine, but maybe don’t try to fly it in actual wind and then complain.
