The repellent definitely drains it faster than just the light. I tested mine and got around 14 hours on low with both running, so 12 doesn’t sound off to me.

Not really sure what to make of the blade feel thing. I cut some chicken on mine and it seemed fine. Maybe it’s just placebo.

I’d say it’s probably fine for one car if you don’t go crazy with it. I’ve used mine on a small sedan and it lasted through the whole thing without dying.

I don’t get the hype on this one. I tried it in my bedroom and the low speed still has a faint hum that drives me nuts. Not sure why people say it’s silent.

I’d probably just try it in a loud place and return it if it didn’t cut it. That’s what I’d do.

Mine works fine from across the room, so maybe yours is just defective. I’d try exchanging it before assuming it’s the design.
