Got the Qinux BreezaMax last week. Works fine for what it is, but the remote barely works unless I’m practically sitting on top of the fan. Is this normal or did I get a dud?

Mine works from about 10-12 feet without issue, so maybe yours is a bit off. Could be worth checking if something is blocking the sensor on the fan itself. I wouldn’t panic over it, mine has been fine for what it is.

Huh, that’s weird. I haven’t actually gotten mine yet, I was about to order one but now I’m a bit hesitant. I mostly just want it for my desk at work, so I wouldn’t be sitting super far away anyway.

I haven’t really noticed that issue with mine, it seems fine from across the room. Maybe it is just a dud.

I haven’t had that problem. Mine works from across the room, so maybe yours is just a little off.

I use mine on my nightstand and the remote works fine from my bed which is about 8 feet away. Might just be a bad unit you got.

Huh, that’s odd. I didn’t really notice any range issues with mine, but I mostly use it on my desk so I’m never that far from it.

Mine works fine from maybe 8 feet, so yours might just be a dud. I keep mine on my desk at work though, so I’m never really trying to use it from across a big room. Might be worth exchanging if it bugs you.

Mine works fine from across the room, so maybe yours is just defective. I’d try exchanging it before assuming it’s the design.

Huh, I actually like that it needs to be fairly close. I keep mine on my nightstand and just use the remote from bed, so it’s never been an issue for me. I don’t really need to control it from across the room anyway.

I haven’t had that problem at all. The remote works fine from across my living room, which is probably 10-12 feet or so. Maybe you got a bad one.

That’s interesting, I’ve been looking at these for my desk setup since I’m trying to cut down on cords. Good to know the remote range might be a bit inconsistent between units, that would bug me if I couldn’t reach it from my chair.
