Noah KentMemberAlright, fair points all around. Sounds like the camera is good enough for the casual stuff I’d be doing, which is pretty much what I figured. I’ll probably stop overthinking it and just grab one.
Noah KentMemberHonestly I wouldn’t overthink it. If you’ve been sleeping on a flat pillow for years anything with actual support is going to feel tall for a night or two.
Noah KentMemberI’d be a little surprised if the HDMI itself was the problem—it’s usually more about whether the TV can handle whatever resolution Flixy tries to push. I’d just check the settings when you plug it in, you might need to drop the output down a notch or two.
Noah KentMemberI’ve been wondering the same thing. It seems like it would have to use less water if you’re not just letting it run wide open, but I haven’t actually measured it or anything.
Noah KentMemberI’ve got one and honestly I barely even look at the activity tracking part. For sleep it’s decent enough to see patterns but I wouldn’t call it super accurate if you’re comparing it to a medical device. The size is nice for travel though, way less annoying than a watch when you’re trying to sleep in a hotel. Still on the fence if it’s worth the money for just that one thing.

Noah KentMemberI haven’t had any snagging issues with mine, but I also keep it clipped to a loop inside my bag rather than on the outside. Kinda defeats the quick-access purpose a bit, but it’s still easy enough to grab if I need it.

Noah KentMemberI haven’t used it for a super long walk yet, but I wore mine around the house for a few hours and it didn’t budge. The silicone grips seem to work fine for normal moving around, so I’d be surprised if it slid down just from walking longer.
Noah KentMemberI think it really depends on which drone you’re looking at. Some of the smaller ones are surprisingly compact and could probably squeeze into a 20L pack if you don’t have much else in there. I’ve seen a few friends just strap theirs to the outside of their bag with a carabiner, which seems easier than trying to Tetris everything inside. Not totally sure if that’s ideal for hiking though, since you’d want it protected from bumps.

Noah KentMemberI guess it’s a little better than a standard foam pillow, but I wouldn’t say it’s a huge difference. Mine doesn’t feel like it’s cooking my head overnight, but I think calling it a “cooling” layer is a bit generous. It’s just not as stuffy as my old one, which is good enough for me.
Noah KentMemberDifferent experience here. I had mine for about 8 months with maybe 2-3 alerts a day and it died on me. Wouldn’t count on that two year thing. I’d just go in expecting to swap batteries once a year if you actually use it.
Noah KentMemberHonestly I think the battery thing just depends on what you’re doing, I’ve had days where it drained faster than I expected. The roaming speeds I’m not totally sure about, I haven’t really compared it side by side with a local card.

Noah KentMemberI think it just takes a bit for your neck to figure out the new shape. Took me almost a week before I stopped waking up and going ‘what is this thing’ but after that it was fine.
Noah KentMemberI think it’s fine, not a big deal to keep a tiny flashlight in the car. Not totally sure about how long one will last if it’s cheap, but for occasional night use it seems worth having, I guess.
Noah KentMemberThanks I think I’ll keep it for now since I actually use it more, maybe report back later if anything changes.
