Mine mostly live in the car for sunny days. They take the edge off bright pavement and help with the visor glare. Worth it for me, but I wouldn’t expect miracles.
The cable thing is real but I still take mine out to the balcony. I just run it off a power bank when I don’t want to drag a cord around.
I’ve had mine for a few weeks and the heat is noticeable, just not intense. On the highest setting I can feel it through a thin shirt, so it’s more than a gimmick for me. It won’t replace a real heating pad though.
Sensitivity from brushing is usually a sign your enamel or roots are involved, so a red light device is not really targeting that. The Nunawave is more about the gum tissue itself. I have used mine for a few months and it made my gums feel less irritated overall, but it did not fix the sharp feeling when I hit a certain spot near my canine. That part needed a sensitive toothpaste and a softer brush. So if your issue is mostly gum tenderness, it might help. If it is more of a zing on the tooth itself, I would not expect this to be the thing that solves it. Still glad I have mine for general gum care though.
A little light in the room shouldn’t be a dealbreaker. I’ve noticed the bugs still go for the trap even when there’s some glow coming from elsewhere, and honestly the UV seems to stand out enough on its own. The main thing that can mess with it is having a competing light source right next to the trap, like a lamp on the same table. If the hallway light is off to the side, that’s a different story. I’ve had nights where the room wasn’t dark at all and it still did its job. So no, you don’t need to tape up the windows or anything. Just keep it away from other bright lights and let it run.
Mine has been fine without any subscription. I mostly use it for calls and music, and the translation part still works when I need it. If you’re set on avoiding monthly fees, this one fits that.
Mine stopped ringing reliably once my wallet got tight, so I wouldn’t count on it being totally unaffected. It still showed up in Find My, but the sound was muffled and sometimes wouldn’t go off at all. Moved it to the outer slot and it’s been fine since.
Powder doesn’t make it gentler on a septic tank, that’s just how it’s sold. I used a similar powder for a couple months and my tank started smelling off, so I stopped. SavingStars might claim septic safe, but I wouldn’t put it down a system I rely on.

But he actually uses it. The thing that surprised me most is that the shaking matters less than I thought it would. With regular clippers, the problem isn’t just the cutting, it’s that he has to line up the blades perfectly and squeeze at the same time. That’s where the tremor really messes him up. With this, he just rests the guard against the nail and lets it do the work. There’s no aiming a tiny blade edge, just pressing the flat part against the tip and moving along.
That said, it’s not going to work if he expects it to feel like nothing. There’s still a bit of a learning curve with keeping it at the right angle. The first couple tries, my uncle kept tilting it sideways and it would just spin without cutting much. He got frustrated and put it down for a week. Then he picked it up again and figured out that you kind of let the tool find the nail instead of forcing it.
One thing I’d mention, my uncle found it easier to use on himself sitting down with his elbow propped on the arm of a chair. That steadied his arm enough for the rest to feel less frustrating. He’s not exactly graceful with it, but he’s not slicing himself open either, which was the main worry.
The app connection is the only part that takes any getting used to, but after the first couple flights you stop thinking about it. I personally just like that I can pack it in a backpack and not feel like I’m hauling a whole production kit around.
I like the concentrated stream for the car, but I prefer my old nozzle for everyday watering. The Jetterix is just less comfortable for that, in my opinion.
I had the opposite experience actually. Mine stays pretty neutral even after a full day in Boost. Maybe it depends on where it’s sitting in the fridge or how much stuff is packed around it. If yours is just slightly warm, that could be normal, but mine honestly never gets past room temp.
I’m one of those people who likes to keep the earbuds in even when I’m not translating, so I’ve worn mine in some pretty loud spots. The noise reduction definitely helps with the constant hum of a busy place, but for me the bigger thing is how I hold the conversation. If I angle myself away from the main crowd and keep the phone closer, it does a lot better. I also try to speak a bit slower than I normally would, because the buds seem to handle that better than trying to catch fast, overlapping speech. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect in an airport cafe, but it’s not a lost cause either. I’d just go in expecting to do a little work on your end too.
I’m right around the three month mark with mine and I’ve noticed the same thing, but it doesn’t really bother me. I think part of it is that I use the heat function a lot more now than I did at first, and that seems to chew through the battery faster than just the regular pulse modes. The charge itself still holds fine, it just doesn’t stretch as far.
I’ve also noticed the pads don’t stick as well as they used to, so I’m probably re-positioning them more and leaving the unit on longer than I need to. That might be part of it too. I figure if I’m still getting a few full sessions out of a charge after a couple months, that’s good enough for me. These little devices all do this eventually. I wouldn’t call it a problem yet.
I think the screen is the real culprit for most people. Mine drains faster if I keep checking the display after every shot, so I just let it sit and only wake it up when I actually need it. That alone made a noticeable difference on my last outing.
I’ve had mine for about two months and only swapped batteries once. I use it for a protein shake every morning, sometimes a second drink later. The battery drain seems super gradual, not like it dies all of a sudden. Light use definitely stretches it out, but even regular use has been fine for me.
I just angled mine toward the driveway where the neighborhood cats wander in and left it. It’s been fine for a few months now, no complaints.
I had the same thought before I bought mine, so I get where you’re coming from. For me, it’s been okay but you definitely have to adjust your expectations. The alert isn’t going to hit your phone the second you step out of range. I’ve had it take a couple of minutes before, especially if I’m moving around a lot or in a busy area with lots of Bluetooth interference.
What I’ve noticed is that it works better when the tag has been sitting still for a while. If I leave my bag on a chair and walk to the other side of a store, it catches it reasonably fast. But if I’m walking around with the bag and set it down briefly, the notification can lag behind a bit.
For travel I’d say it’s useful as a safety net, just don’t treat it like something you’ll rely on in the moment. It’s more of a “check your phone when you realize your stuff isn’t with you” kind of thing than an instant alarm.
I grabbed a regular pillowcase just to see and it went on fine. The corners end up empty and it wrinkles a bit, but I honestly never notice once I’m lying down. I wouldn’t buy special ones just for the shape.
