For movies I’d say it’s a mixed bag. The dialogue scenes are fine but anything with overlapping voices or heavy background sound turns into mush. If you’re okay pausing and rewinding a bit it gets the job done.
I tried a friend’s pair for a bit and the quiet room thing is where they actually make sense. Two people talking with nothing else going on is basically the easy case. The modes are more for when stuff gets loud.
I don’t think one app is going to make or break it. Mine’s just connected to whatever I already had and the basic stuff still ticks over. If Aptofit wants a specific one you’d have seen it in the setup screens by now.
Got mine without a card at first too. Worked fine for just walking around and checking things out, the screen does its job. But honestly, once I saw something cool and couldn’t save it, I ordered a card the next day. Just depends if you’re okay with that.
Wall outlet is the safest bet if you can do it. These heaters pull enough juice that a long extension cord can get warm pretty fast. If you have to use a strip, make sure it’s one of the thicker ones and not daisy-chained off anything else. I’d just move the heater closer to the wall instead of risking it.
Mine does the same thing. Couple of beeps when the cycle ends, nothing long or annoying. I just figured it was the unit telling you it’s done so you don’t leave clothes sitting in there wet. Pretty standard for stuff like this.
I’m the opposite. I basically never talk to mine when anyone’s around. Tapping is quieter and feels less weird than having a conversation with my sunglasses. Voice is fine at home, but out and about I’d rather just use the touch controls.
If you already carry your phone everywhere, the Enence is basically just a second gadget to keep track of. I used mine for quick street interactions and it worked, but I found myself reaching for my phone anyway since it was already out for maps and photos. The device only really shines if you refuse to use your phone on vacation. Short phrases are fine, but don’t expect it to do anything your current apps can’t do.
Bit of a different take. I ran mine next to the old tower fan for a week before I packed the old one away. Air feels less punchy if you’re standing two feet from it, but it reaches further across the room. The old fan just churned air in a straight line. This one spreads it out more, so the whole room gets a light breeze instead of one strong spot.
I think it’s actually louder, not quieter. Mine cuts through pretty clear even when the thing is buried under a jacket. Maybe your unit is defective or the battery is low. I’d check that before assuming it’s a design change.
I put mine on a low table near the fence and it picks up the dog next door without me having to touch it or move it around. I basically just set it and forgot about it for the afternoon. I can’t say about the full 10 meters, but it definitely works from a few steps away.
I wouldn’t put much weight on it for storm protection. I got one a few months back mainly to see if it did anything for my power bill, and I haven’t had any issues with my stuff glitching during storms, but I also don’t think this thing is doing the heavy lifting. A real surge protector is what you want if you’re worried about lightning or big spikes. This feels more like it smooths out the little dips and flickers you get when the grid is being finicky. My lights used to blink sometimes when the AC kicked on, and that’s not really a thing anymore. But if a tree hit a line near my house, I wouldn’t expect this little plug to save my TV. It’s a stabilizer, not a shield.
Had mine for about three months now and nothing weird happened at the dealer when I took it in for an oil change. They never even mentioned it sitting there. I think as long as you’re not messing with the actual engine or wiring, most shops just don’t care about an OBD2 dongle. Warranty stuff usually only gets sticky if they can prove the part caused the problem.
I’ve had mine since around February and I’m still getting a solid week out of a charge with daily 15 minute sessions. That said, I rarely use the heat setting, and I’d guess that’s the biggest battery drain on these things. If you’re using heat every time, that would explain the drop more than normal wear.
Bucket setup works, but don’t expect the same punch as a hose. It’ll pull water fine, just keep the intake submerged or you’ll suck air and lose pressure quick. For a quick car rinse it’s fine, but you’ll probably stop to refill more often than you’d like.
I usually get close to that 30 hours but I also don’t wear them nonstop. It’s more like 2 to 3 days before I need to charge, and I just throw them in the case when I think about it. If you’re someone who wears them all waking hours, you’ll probably charge nightly anyway.
I get wanting it to last longer, but mine drained pretty normally for what it is. You were shooting clips and photos, so I would expect around half a day, not a full one. These little cameras just don’t have huge batteries. I’d carry a spare power bank if you’re out that long again.
If you go in expecting a curated library, you’ll be disappointed. If you just want to plug it in and have a bunch of old games to mess around with, it does the job. I’d guess about half of that number is actual distinct games, and the other half is filler, but for the price, I don’t think that’s a dealbreaker.
I’ve had mine fog once and it was purely from leaving it in a hot car and then dunking it. If you let it sit out for a few minutes before sealing it up, it’s usually a non-issue. I’d rather have that than a case that leaks.
I’d lean toward waiting until they’re a bit older, like 5 or 6 months. At that age they’re still mapping out what barking even means, so the device might just teach them to associate noise with a weird sound instead of actually learning when to be quiet. That said, two weeks in and it’s working, so it’s not like you’ve done damage.
I’d just try it and see. For the price it’s probably worth a shot if your corner is that bad. I think it’ll feel decent up close, but don’t expect it to cool the whole cube.
I don’t know, I tried one and the medium setting still had a bit of a whine to it. Not as bad as an old blade fan, but not silent either.
