The 176 number is just a count of countries with some roaming agreement. I have not taken mine anywhere that small, so no idea if it holds up on an island. Mine picked the local carrier on its own everywhere I used it though.
My magnet has held fine on the metal closet door in the last two hotels I stayed at. Painted drywall is the only spot where it slid on me once. The adhesive would probably hold better there if you don’t mind the residue.
Never saw a big enough difference to justify switching. My old guide still gets the angles close enough for firewood duty, and I’ve never had a chain cut crooked because of it. The SawShark looks nicer but it’s still a manual file at the end of the day.
The one thing nobody mentions is that the cover has a zipper on the short side, so if you do stuff it in a regular case, the zipper pull sits right where your ear goes. Drove me nuts for two nights. I flipped the whole thing around so the zipper faces the foot of the bed and that fixed it. Case itself fits, it’s just the hardware placement that gets annoying. And yeah, a standard case does stretch over the wings, but you lose the cooling feel because you’re adding another layer of cotton on top of what’s already a breathable cover. So it kind of defeats part of the purpose. I still use a thin case because I like being able to wash something regularly, but I went with the cheapest thinnest one I could find instead of a normal thick pillowcase. Not a huge deal either way, just something to keep in mind if you’re picky about stuff touching your ear.
Mine handles ash alright, but I only use it for small bits near the stove, not whole scoops. The filter gets a grey haze on it pretty quick, so I just tap it out over the bin after. Good enough for what I need, no real complaints.
Honestly I noticed the same thing when I switched. The Tile had a sharper, more piercing ring while the iTagPro sounds a bit softer and deeper. I can still hear it from across the house, but it doesn’t cut through noise the same way. It’s fine for everyday use, just not as urgent sounding.
Mine actually sound louder on calls than music, which is weird because I usually see people saying the opposite. Maybe it depends on how the earbuds sit in your ears or which tips you’re using. I swapped to the smaller ones and it changed the whole balance for me.
I made the switch last year and the speed difference depends on what you’re drying. Heavy stuff like jeans or hoodies, yeah it’s noticeably quicker than the rack. But t-shirts and thinner stuff, honestly the rack wasn’t that far behind if I had airflow going.
The real win for me is that I can throw stuff in before work and it’s done when I get back. With the rack I’d come home to damp clothes still hanging around. So it’s less about it being super fast and more about it being done on my schedule.
That said, it’s not going to replace a proper dryer. It’s more like a middle ground. If your current setup works and you’re not in a rush, the rack is fine. But if you’re tired of clothes sitting there for two days in winter, this does solve that.
Mine didn’t have anything beyond that peel-off plastic film and I didn’t bother replacing it. Screen’s been fine for a few months now, but it just sits on the coffee table. If yours is going in a bag with other stuff, I’d just buy one.
It’s not weak in a room that size, but it’s also not going to feel like a proper breeze hitting you from across the room. I’d say it does the job for airflow, just keep it close to the bed and on high. The low setting is definitely more of a gentle stir than real cooling.
Strong mode is fine daily if your technique is decent. I’ve been running it most days for a while now and my gums aren’t worse off. The trick is not jamming the tip into your gumline like you’re scraping paint. Light pressure and keep it moving and it’s no rougher than a normal cleaning.
Room temp has been fine for me honestly. I tried the cold water thing once when I first got mine and yeah, the first few minutes feel a little different, but I couldn’t tell if it was just in my head or actually doing something. By the time I sat down and got settled it felt the same as regular water anyway.
I think people overthink this one. The unit is pulling air through the pad and evaporating whatever you put in there, so the temp of what you pour in only matters for that short burst. Unless you’re planning to stand right next to it for five minutes and then walk away, I wouldn’t bother with the fridge routine.
I just use tap water now and don’t think about it. Saves me the awkward shuffle of carrying a pitcher across the house.
I’ve got the kind that you can see from across the room and mine handles it fine. The only time I feel any tug is if I skip a week and let it get out of hand. As long as I hit it every few days, it just mows through without any drama.
I never really bothered pushing it past 3x because at that point I’m just trying to confirm what I already spotted, not doing a detailed inspection. The zoom is more of a nice extra than the main feature for me. If you’re relying on it to identify animals at distance, you might be disappointed. It’s fine for what it is, but I wouldn’t buy it for the zoom alone.
I’m only a week in and haven’t had to charge it daily yet, so that alone is a big improvement for me.

I’d bet it depends on how tight your closet is. The wings are bendy enough but the shape still takes up a bit more room than a normal pillow. Not a dealbreaker for me though.
I think the angle thing might be part of it. I noticed mine gets a bit bouncy too if I’m not keeping the head level on slopes.
Wall mount made a bigger difference than I expected. Felt like the air actually moved across the room instead of just hitting the back of the couch.
I think the finger hole helps more than the handle size matters for smaller hands. Not totally sure but it keeps your grip steady without squeezing too hard.
