For me the placement made more difference than the settings. I moved mine off the nightstand and onto the floor near the foot of the bed, and the air actually reaches me instead of just blowing over the top of my head. In a small room like that it works fine for me, I just had to mess with where it sat for a couple nights.
Not by a long shot. I’ve had mine sitting behind a bookshelf in a hotel room once and it still grabbed the local channels fine. These things are a lot more forgiving than the old school ones, so a few feet from the window shouldn’t be an issue at all.
I wouldnt say its redundant exactly. I use mine in a normal wallet with a few cards and its nice having that extra layer even if my passport has its own sleeve. Plus if you ever take the passport out or carry other documents, the card covers those too.
I think it just depends on whether you want to mess with reapplying stuff. I travel a lot so the pouch is easier for me to toss in a bag and not think about for a few weeks. The spray worked but I always forgot to bring it along.
I picked one up mostly for when I’m working from hotel rooms, but I’ve used it at a desk before too. If you sit close enough and fill it with cold water, you’ll definitely feel it on your face and arms. It’s not going to fix a whole dead zone in the office, but for just your own little spot it does the trick.
Filters aren’t too pricey from what I saw, maybe around 20-25 bucks each. I just swap mine when the pressure starts feeling a bit weaker, usually every couple months or so. Not something I stress about.
Mine came with three sizes in the box, small included. I don’t have tiny ears myself but the small ones seem pretty tiny, so you’ll probably be fine.
I mean, I noticed a little something on my floor too after a while, but it didn’t really bother me. It just kind of blended in after a bit.
I think people overthink controller size sometimes. They look fine to me and I don’t see why they’d be a problem unless your hands are huge.
I’d probably give the tape a shot just to see if it changes anything, even if the humidifier already helps. Worst case you waste a few strips and find out it’s not for you. I travel a lot and pack both sometimes, but honestly the humidifier does most of the heavy lifting for me.
I’d probably just leave it plugged in and not overthink it. Most of these sticks are built to handle being powered on most of the time anyway. If the TV cuts power when it’s off, that’s even less to worry about.
I’d probably just toss it in a duffel bag if I was traveling, so the shape wouldn’t matter much either way.
I’ve used mine in a hotel room that was pretty humid and honestly it didn’t feel worse to me. Still felt like moving air which is better than nothing. I think if you’re expecting it to work like AC you’ll be disappointed but it does circulate air fine.
It’s an extender with an access point mode, it’ll work with whatever router you plug it into. Not really a brand thing.
Honestly I barely noticed the difference when I switched from the Clip 2 to the 5. I just clip it onto my bag strap and it works, never really had trouble with either one. Maybe it matters more if you’re using it on thick jackets or something.
I’d guess it’s fine for one car. I’ve used mine on a couple of bikes and a small patio and still had battery left.
I’ve seen a few people use it at the campsite for rinsing off gear and it seemed to do the job alright. For a car that’s been sitting a while, you’d probably want to soak it first anyway, regardless of what nozzle you’re using.
