I don’t think it would make it worse, at least not in my case. Mine has been on for about a month and the flow feels the same as before, not weaker. So the whole “trickle” worry didn’t really happen for me.
Depends what your well pressure actually looks like at the spigot. Ours runs low, like you can fill a bucket but it takes its sweet time. I tried the Jetterix on my truck after a muddy weekend and it did fine for the loose stuff, but I had to hold it close to the panel to get any real bite. It’s not going to strip caked-on grime, that’s for sure. Where it actually surprised me was blasting the wheel wells and the rocker panels, that concentrated stream helps when you don’t have much volume behind it. So if you’re just rinsing dust and light dirt off, yeah it’s worth a shot. If your well is really weak though, like a trickle at the tap, no nozzle is going to magically fix that. What’s your pressure like at the faucet normally?
I don’t think stair duty is asking too much. I’ve done our full flight more than once and never felt like it was struggling. The brush is small but that just means a few extra passes, not a dead battery halfway.
Back pocket seems like a bad spot for anything card shaped, the sitting pressure alone would bug me. I’d personally keep it in the front if that’s already working for you.
The smell thing is real but the cap only helps if you actually use the mode. I had a similar setup and if I left the auto cycle on it stayed fine way longer, but the second I turned it off to save battery it went back to smelling like a regular bottle.
I rarely leave mine in one spot for the full 20 minutes either. For me it’s less about the weird feeling and more about the heat, once that kicks in I want to move it somewhere fresh. It still does the job on my back even if I’m shifting every few minutes.
The brightness never really bothered me. I guess I’m used to having a screen on in the car anyway from the radio and everything else.
I just grabbed a card when I ordered mine and it worked out fine. You’re probably better off picking your own anyway since you can get a bigger one for not much money. I’d say factor that into the price and you’ll be set.
I change mine every 2 months, but that’s because my water is pretty heavily chlorinated and I can smell it when the filter starts giving up. If your water is decent, 3 months is probably fine. I’d rather swap it early than deal with the filter being useless for a few weeks without knowing.
It’s probably worth a shot. I ran mine in a spot that was basically surrounded by interior walls, not even close to an outside wall, and it still grabbed a decent amount of channels. The window might help, but it’s not like the antenna refuses to work without one.
I’ve been using mine straight from the tap since I got it a few months back. Both at home and when I’m at work, I just fill it up under the sink and hit the button. I never really thought about it needing anything special because the whole point for me was just keeping the bottle from getting funky, not turning tap water into some lab-grade pure thing.
The way I see it, the UV part is doing its job on whatever is already in the water and on the bottle walls. If you’re on city water that’s already treated, there’s not much in there to begin with. I noticed pretty quickly that the bottle doesn’t get that weird smell if I leave it in my car for a day, which used to happen with my old plastic bottle all the time. That alone was worth it for me.
I’d say go for it if you’re just using regular tap water. It’s not like the bottle knows or cares where the water came from. The only thing I’d keep in mind is that it’s not a filter, so if your sink water tastes like chlorine or has sediment, you’ll still taste that. But for basic everyday use, tap water is totally fine. I haven’t bought a single bottle of water since I got mine.
The whole ice thing seems like a lot of extra work for what you get. I tried it a few times when I first got mine and yeah, the air feels cooler for maybe fifteen minutes, but then you’re just stuck with a wet mess at the bottom and a pack that needs to go back in the freezer. For me, the fan alone is doing the heavy lifting anyway. If it’s pointed right at you, it’s doing its job. The ice is more of a gimmick for that initial blast of cold. I’d rather just use the water tank and not have to plan my day around freezer space. It’s still a solid little desk cooler without it.
Personally I’d skip the dash and stick with the windshield. Even if it holds at first, heat and vibration will probably make it give up eventually. Textured plastic just doesn’t give that cup a clean seal, and I’d rather not find out mid-drive.
Mirroring is one of those things I only pull out when I actually need it, and in my case it’s been okay. Not amazing, but okay. I’ve casted a few videos from my phone while on a trip and it held up fine as long as I wasn’t moving around too much. If you’re just parking it somewhere and watching, you’ll probably be fine with it.
I think if you’re already comfortable working off a ladder with one hand, the Jetterix won’t be what throws you off. I’m the opposite though, I prefer keeping both hands free and just use mine from the ground for whatever I can reach. The spray is strong enough that I don’t feel like I’m missing much by not being right up close.
I have one and I mostly use it for older platformers and RPGs. The save states have been pretty reliable for me so far, no crashes or anything weird. I wouldn’t trust them for anything super complex, but for casual play they get the job done.
Fifteen minutes is probably enough. I’ve used mine for quick stuff like that and it’s fine. Not like you’re trying to clear a football field.
I think the 14 hour claim is probably under perfect lab conditions or something. I get closer to 11 or 12 hours out of mine, but it still works fine for a whole evening which is all I really need.
I think it’s probably just part of how these things work. I’d probably just run it and not think too much about it unless it gets way stronger.
I haven’t timed it exactly but it’s pretty quick. I plug it in and by the time I sit down I can feel the warmth. Not instant but close enough for me.
