I know it’s not meant for damp places, but I was thinking of using the Keilini Heater Pro in my bathroom for like 10 minutes after a shower. It’s small and the plug rotates so it might fit. Anyone tried this or is it a bad idea?

Rotating plug is the only reason it works in my bathroom outlet. Runs fine for 10 min. Just don’t leave it in there permanently.

Ten minutes after a shower is pretty much exactly what I use mine for and it’s been fine. It warms up my little bathroom fast enough that I don’t even leave it running the whole time. I just unplug it and stick it back on the shelf when I’m done.

Probably fine for ten minutes, I do the same.

I don’t buy the whole “not meant for damp places” thing as a dealbreaker for short bursts. Mine’s been in and out of my bathroom for months and it hasn’t skipped a beat. As long as you’re not leaving it sitting in there while the room’s still steamy, it’s fine.

I actually stopped doing the shower thing with mine because the moisture seemed to mess with it over time. Not in a dramatic way, it just started making a faint rattle after a couple months of bathroom use, and the warmth felt weaker than when I first got it. Could be coincidence, could be the damp, no clue. But I moved mine to my desk area instead and it’s been totally normal since. My preference now is keeping it in dry rooms only. For a bathroom I’d rather just crack the door and let the hallway heat drift in. Not saying ten minutes will kill it, just that mine didn’t love the routine long term. Curious if anyone else noticed theirs getting louder after a while?

I keep mine plugged into the hallway outlet right outside my bathroom door and just aim it in through the doorway while I’m getting ready. That way it’s not sitting in the steam at all and my bathroom still warms up nicely. Ten minutes in the actual bathroom would probably be fine too, but that’s just what I do.

Used mine in a steamy bathroom for a couple weeks, no issues at all. It still kicks on fine and heats the same as day one. Bad idea if you’re leaving it there, but ten minutes won’t kill it.

Mine started acting weird after maybe a week of bathroom use, the fan got noisy and it smelled a bit hot. I stopped doing that and just use it in the bedroom now. Ten minutes sounds short but the steam still gets in there.

Ten minutes is probably fine, but I’d be more concerned about the outlet placement than the moisture. If it’s right next to the shower and you’re reaching over a wet floor to unplug it, that’s the part I’d actually think twice about.

Bad idea for the outlet area, moisture plus heat.

I’d be more hung up on whether the outlet can handle it than the steam, honestly. Bathroom outlets in older places can be on a shared circuit, and an 800W heater draws a fair bit. Mine trips the breaker if I run it while the hair dryer is going.

Bathroom use wasn’t the problem for mine, it was the outlet. The rotating plug fit fine in my tight spot but I still wouldn’t trust a bathroom outlet for anything drawing that kind of power for long.

I’d rather just move it to the bedroom and leave the bathroom door open for a minute after. I use mine on a dresser while getting ready and it warms up the space fast enough. Bathrooms are just a hassle for me with the cord and wet floor.

Bathroom heaters get gross fast, skip it.

10 minutes is fine if you keep it away from the shower.

10 minutes is probably fine if you’re standing right there and watching it. I left mine in a steamy room once and the outer casing got noticeably warm, but it didn’t cut out or anything. The rotating plug is handy for tight spots, I’ll give it that much.

I keep mine on the counter and just angle the plug so it points toward the mirror. Ten minutes after a shower feels fine to me, and the quick warm-up is why I bother. It’s been a couple months and no issues so far.

Bathroom steam is the one thing I’d actually watch out for. Mine got a little condensation on the plug area after a couple uses in a steamy room, and that was enough for me to just keep it in the hallway now. Ten minutes is short though, so you’d likely be fine if you’re in there the whole time.
