Honestly, I’ve got one on my desk and it’s fine for that close-up use. Not life-changing or anything, but it definitely makes the air feel less stale. I’d say it’s not a gimmick if you just want something small for your own corner.
I’d be surprised if they didn’t include a few sizes. Most things like this do, even the cheaper ones. You’ll probably be fine.
Huh, I get about 4.5 hours on mine but I mostly just use them for podcasts during walks, not calls. Maybe the constant mic usage for calls drains it faster? Still works fine for my commute though.
I think people are overcomplicating it a bit. I use mine without my phone all the time just for tracking steps and it does the job fine for me.
Honestly I was wondering the same thing when I first got mine. I just grabbed whatever AAs I had lying around and it’s been working fine for my tea, no complaints.
I just set mine for two hours when I want a quick warm-up in the office and it shuts off right on time, no issues.
I figure if it works fine for a few hours of sun that’s plenty for most days. Mine’s in a spot that gets some morning light and then it’s pretty dim the rest of the time and I haven’t had any issues with it dying.
I wouldn’t overthink it either. If the pressure’s still good and the water feels different, it’s probably just doing its thing in the background.
Mine’s been going for about four months now and still shows full battery in the app. I don’t really check it that often though, just when I remember.
Mine’s been on my laptop for a few months near the vent and honestly it’s still stuck fine. I don’t check it much but it hasn’t moved.
I think I know what you mean about the weird tint thing, but honestly I just kind of got used to it after a few days. For me they still do the job way better than my regular sunglasses for cutting that harsh glare, so I don’t really mind.
Honestly I don’t think it’s that deep. I just put mine on snug enough that it doesn’t flop around when I walk and called it a day. Works fine for me.
I feel like people overthink the battery thing. It’s a grill brush, not a power tool you use for hours. Even if it cuts in half you’d still have plenty of time to clean a couple grates before it dies.
I mean, it’s not like you have to charge it every day or anything. I just plug mine in when I remember and it’s usually fine. Seems pretty standard for this kind of thing.
Oh I actually looked into this exact thing before buying mine. Access point mode works totally fine with any router, you just plug it in via Ethernet and it handles everything on its own. I’ve got mine hooked up to an old Netgear and it’s been running for months without a hiccup.
I’ve noticed mine makes a soft clicking sound when it first kicks on, but after that it’s just a low hum. I’m not super sensitive to noise, but I’d say it’s fine for an office. What I actually like is that I can set it on the desk and not have it blasting right in my ear.
I feel like people overthink these little dryers sometimes. I’ve used mine for a few cashmere-blend scarves and they came out totally fine, not shrunken or weird. I wouldn’t stress too much unless it’s a really thick hand-knit thing, but for normal wool sweaters it’s probably fine.

I mean it makes sense that it would use more battery since it’s doing the whole translation thing on top of everything else. I used mine for a 30 minute conversation and it was fine, still had plenty of charge left after. The case charges them up so fast anyway that I never really worry about it.
I don’t think I’ve ever really tested the ultrasonic thing properly, I just kind of turn it on and hope for the best. The light itself is good enough that I keep using it even if the bug part is a bit questionable.
I’ve got a dark gray car and used it on some light scuffs near the door handle. It didn’t make them vanish completely, but it definitely toned them down enough that I don’t notice them unless I’m really looking. Worth a try for the price.
I’ve used mine for some fairly quick back and forth in Spanish and English and it kept up fine enough for me. I think people get a bit too caught up on the delay, it’s not that noticeable unless you’re really trying to rush.
I’d probably just plug it in and see, but I guess the picture might look a tiny bit softer or something? Not really sure how the scaling works on those.
I guess it depends how soft your mattress is. Mine’s medium firm and it works fine for me, I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything.
I run mine in the living room during the day and honestly haven’t paid close enough attention to the bill to say for sure. I do notice it uses way less power just from how often the compressor kicks on compared to my AC though. Hard to beat that when it’s just me and I don’t need the whole house freezing.
