Thinking about slapping one of these ODIN SafeWave EMF stickers on the back of the living room TV. Seems like a no-brainer since it’s always on. Just wondering if the heat from the TV messes with the adhesive over time, or if it stays put.

I’ve had one on the living room TV for about six months now and the adhesive is still holding up fine. That TV runs most of the day, honestly, so it’s not like it gets a break. One thing I didn’t think about before putting it on is that it’s basically invisible once it’s on the back. Like, I forget it’s even there half the time. The only thing I’d mention is that if you ever have to move the TV or wall mount it, it might be worth sticking it somewhere that doesn’t get bumped by cables or brackets. Had mine on the bedroom TV for about a year now. Heat hasn’t been an issue with the adhesive at all, it’s still stuck on there solid. TV runs all evening most nights. I’d say just stick it on and forget about it.

I moved my TV to a different stand a couple months after putting mine on and getting it off without wrecking the sticker was a pain. So just be sure you actually want it on that specific TV for a while.

The adhesive should be fine honestly, TVs don’t get that hot on the back panel where you’d stick it. The one thing I’d say is just make sure you put it somewhere you won’t accidentally touch it when you’re plugging in cables or dusting behind the TV, because once it’s on there it’s not coming off without leaving residue.

Heat isn’t what I’d worry about. These stickers are pretty thin and the back of a TV doesn’t get that hot anyway. The adhesive is the least fragile part of the whole setup.

If anything, I’d think about whether you actually want it there permanently. Once it’s on, it’s on. Moving it later is a pain and you’ll probably just leave it wherever it lands.

The whole heat thing gets brought up every time someone sticks something on a TV, but the back panel barely gets warm. If you’re that worried about it, just put it near the bottom edge where it’s cooler. Mine’s been on for a while and hasn’t moved an inch.

The adhesive will be fine, I wouldn’t sweat that part. But honestly, if you’re putting it on a TV that’s in a cabinet or right against a wall, just double check it’s got some airflow. I had one on a receiver that got pretty warm and it stayed stuck, so the TV should be no problem at all.

I put mine on the TV about six months ago and it’s still there, no issues with it peeling or sliding around. The back of the TV doesn’t really get hot enough to worry about the adhesive failing. I say just stick it on and forget about it.

The adhesive is pretty solid, mine has been on the back of the TV for a few months now and it hasn’t moved at all. I stuck it on and pretty much forgot about it until this thread. If the TV gets hot enough to melt that glue, you have bigger problems than EMF.
