Matcha is actually the one thing I use mine for and it does fine as long as you add the powder after the water. Toss it in first and you get a little ring of green paste stuck to the bottom. Protein shakes clump less than I expected too.
The wallet bulge thing is what I’d actually question. 1.8mm doesn’t sound like much on paper but if your wallet is already tight, adding anything makes it worse. Mine made a card slot basically unusable, so I ended up pulling a card out and it’s fine now. As for interference, I’ve had mine sitting against a debit card and a building access badge for a few months and it still shows up on Find My. I can’t say it never drops a ping but nothing I’d blame on the cards. The ringer is loud enough that I found it under a couch cushion, which was the whole point. It’s not invisible in your pocket though, that’s my gripe.
Mine gets treated like every other kitchen knife I own, honestly. I hand wash it because the wood handle is the only real variable.
