I haven’t touched the mount on mine either. The angle is a bit high for my liking but it still catches the birds at the feeder fine, so I just left it. Not worth pulling it apart again.
A dog standing frozen like that is usually unsure, not hating it. Hating it looks more like backing away, struggling, or refusing to move at all once you start walking. Try a short session with treats and see if she’ll take a step or two. If she stays locked up every time, then I’d look at the fit.
The earbuds do make it feel more like a normal back and forth since nobody’s holding anything. Mine lasted most of a day walking around before I had to drop them back in the case. For basic travel stuff like food and directions it’s fine.
The specs are mostly noise. I’ve had a cheap gun and a pricey one, and the difference came down to how long the battery lasted and whether the head stayed put. The pricey one died after about eight months anyway. Pick one with a shape that reaches your calves and don’t sweat the numbers.
I’ve had good luck with a cardboard box with a few holes cut in it. Sounds dumb, but my cat uses it way more than any fancy toy I’ve bought, and it folds flat when I need the space.
I run parking mode only when I’m parked somewhere sketchy, not overnight at home. So a 32GB card works fine for me since I’m not asking it to cover eight hours straight. If you want all-night coverage though, you’d want more space.
The bottle shape matters less than the neck, in my experience. I’ve got a couple of those squat, wide-bottomed bottles that still taper to a normal neck, and the opener goes on them fine. Same with a fat rosé bottle I grabbed last summer. Where it gets awkward is the odd bottle with a slightly thicker or shorter neck, then it doesn’t seat all the way down and you can feel it hunting for the cork.
I’ve had mine about a year and just keep a basic waiter’s friend in the drawer. Not because the WineCork Pro fails often, it’s more that it takes two seconds to grab the manual one if I’m unsure, versus fighting with the electric one and making a mess. Nine times out of ten the electric one is fine on whatever I pull out. So the manual opener is less of a backup and more of a lazy shortcut.
Mine didn’t come with a real manual either. What I got was a folded sheet with a few pictures and the pairing steps for the two wireless controllers. It wasn’t super detailed, but it was enough to get both controllers connected without looking anything up. I think the whole thing took me maybe two minutes, and I’m not someone who messes with this kind of stuff much. The only part I had to figure out on my own was that the controllers go to sleep after sitting for a while, so I thought pairing had failed when it really just needed a button press to wake back up. Not a big deal once you know that. So yeah, you get basic instructions, not a full manual, and it should be fine if you just want to play without digging through videos.
Ended up plugging mine in for about ten minutes and it was fine. Don’t think a full charge matters much on day one. Heading out to grab groceries now, so I’ll see how it does.
Seats are fine if you keep the head moving. I’ve done my cloth back seat twice now and the fabric came out looking normal, no shrinkage or water rings. The part people get wrong is parking the nozzle in one spot and letting the steam soak through. That’s when you get the smearing some folks are mentioning. Short passes, keep it moving, and it lifts the surface grime fine. Dashboard is a different material though, so I wouldn’t lump the two together. Plastic and vinyl react differently than cloth. If you’re just worried about the seats, I’d say go ahead. Just don’t expect it to pull out old set-in stains. It gets the top layer and freshens things up, which was enough for what I needed.
I used a pocket phrasebook for years and switched to earbuds last spring. For me the real difference is my hands stay free. I can hold a menu or point at something while the translation plays, which you obviously can’t do while flipping pages. Speed is fine for short back and forth, maybe a beat behind, but not painful. Where it gets old is longer sentences, since the app sometimes rephrases things in a way that loses the tone. My preference is still paper for anything with numbers or directions, because I can just show the page and be done. The earbuds win for quick greetings and ordering. If you mostly do basic travel stuff they’ll probably do the job, just don’t expect a clean flow in every chat.
Mine works, but I had to enable it in the input settings first. It wasn’t automatic like I expected. Once that was done it was fine for two player.
Dull chain isn’t automatically a lost cause. Mine had a few rough sharpenings on it and the Klampero got it cutting decent again after a few passes. Just know you’ll be filing longer than you would on a fresh chain.
Mine loosened up after a couple months of moving it between rooms. It still works, but I wouldn’t count on that swivel staying snug forever.
Mine lives in a backpack pocket most days and it still shows up fine. The card doesn’t need line of sight, it just needs an iPhone somewhere nearby to pass the signal along. Fabric and zippers haven’t caused me any trouble.
Heat doesn’t really have much to affect on it besides the rubber grip. Mine gets warm enough that the spray trigger feels a bit softer, but that’s about the extent of it.
It depends on the material. Most of these can take a second run, but some go soft or stop holding shape after one reheat. If the fit is way off after your first try, I’d just redo it once and see how it feels.
For a small office, the Coolzy will feel quicker simply because it pushes warm air out instead of waiting on oil to heat up. Mine takes a few minutes to notice, not seconds. Whether it’s worth switching depends on how much the old radiator bothers you.
Five years is not a hard deadline anyway. I replaced mine at five and a half because the readings still looked normal, and the new one behaved exactly the same. The self test is the only real gauge you have.

I had a different experience in my shed, which is a bit drafty and stays warmer than a garage. The pouches actually kept their smell for a solid month in there. I checked them weekly because I was curious, and around week four they started losing that sharp scent. By week five they were pretty much done. What surprised me was that the ones I put in a closed cabinet lasted even longer, maybe five or six weeks before I noticed any drop off. So I think airflow and how enclosed the spot is matters more than just temperature. A garage with a door opening and closing all day probably pulls the scent out faster than a closed cabinet. I don’t swap on a strict schedule anymore. I just go by the smell. If I walk past and can’t catch it, I replace them. That’s been working fine for me.
I went with a different approach than sticking it to the case itself. Tried that on a compact case once and the constant in and out of a pocket is what kills the adhesive, not really the curve. The edges catch on the fabric lining and start lifting after a week or two. What I ended up doing was putting the sticker on the inside lid of the case instead of the outside. It sits flatter there, no friction from pockets, and it’s been on for a couple months now without moving. The case still closes fine since the sticker is thin. I know some people say placement doesn’t matter for these things, but if you’re going to bother putting one on a case this small, might as well put it somewhere it won’t get scraped off. So my answer would be yes it fits, but the outside of the case is the wrong spot for something you carry in your pocket all day. Worth trying the inside before you give up on it.
I flip it while it’s running and it’s never been an issue. The head clicks into place without much fuss. I can see why some people prefer to stop first, but I don’t think you need to worry about it jamming or anything.
I think it depends on what you mean by “removed.” If you’re expecting to step into the shower and smell absolutely nothing, you might be disappointed. But if you’re hoping the smell won’t hit you in the face as soon as the water starts, that’s probably closer to what this thing does.
The water where I live is heavily chlorinated too, especially in the summer months. Before I switched, I could smell it before I even got in the shower. With the AquaSylk, that initial strong whiff is mostly gone after the water runs for twenty or thirty seconds. The first blast can still have a faint hint of it, but it fades quickly. I wouldn’t say the water smells completely clean like spring water, but it’s no longer something I actively notice while I’m washing.
One thing I found is that the temperature matters. When I take a hotter shower, I notice a bit more of a smell than when I keep it lukewarm. I guess heat just brings it out more, regardless of the filter.
If your main issue is the smell bothering you while you’re in there, I’d say this makes a real difference. If you’re someone who’s super sensitive to any kind of chlorine scent, you may still catch a trace now and then. It’s definitely not a miracle fix, but it took my water from “I can’t stand this” to “I don’t think about it anymore.” For what it costs, that was enough for me.
Carpet is actually fine. The unit is heavy enough that it doesn’t really shift once you’re on it. I’ve used mine in a carpeted bedroom since I got it and never had to chase it around. The only thing I’d mention is the heat takes a bit longer to feel through carpet, but that’s about it.
