I’m looking at the Coolizi Coolzy for a small home office and I’m trying to figure out if it heats up faster than my old oil radiator. I know the radiator takes forever to warm a room, so I’m wondering if this thing actually makes a difference in a few minutes. Not expecting magic, just curious if it’s worth switching. Anyone used both?

Oil radiators are a different animal. They heat the whole room slowly and keep giving off warmth after you turn them off. The Coolzy is more like a directed warm air thing. Mine takes maybe a minute to start blowing warm air, but it only really helps if you’re sitting near it. It doesn’t warm the whole room the way a radiator does.

For a small office where you’re at a desk most of the time, that’s actually fine. I use mine in a spare room and it takes the chill off pretty fast if I point it at myself. But if you walk out and come back ten minutes later, the room itself isn’t toasty like it would be with the radiator. So it depends what you want. Quick personal warmth, yes. Whole room heat, not really.

Mine warms my office noticeably faster than the old radiator did, but that radiator was dead weight for the first 20 minutes. The Coolzy still isn’t instant, maybe a few minutes before you feel it. For a small room I think it’s a decent swap.

For a small office, the Coolzy will feel quicker simply because it pushes warm air out instead of waiting on oil to heat up. Mine takes a few minutes to notice, not seconds. Whether it’s worth switching depends on how much the old radiator bothers you.

Maybe faster to feel on your skin, but it won’t heat the whole office evenly like an oil radiator does. Mine warms the spot I’m sitting in and the rest of the room stays cool. That’s fine if you’re just at the desk, annoying if you move around.

Fast to feel isn’t the same as fast to heat. My old radiator took ages but actually warmed the whole room, the Coolzy just takes the edge off whatever’s in front of it. If you’re after quick warmth on you, fine. If you want the room warm, you’ll be disappointed.

I grabbed one mainly for the cooling side and was surprised the heat mode actually does something. It’s not going to replace a real heater for a whole house, but for a small office it’s fine. Mine puts out warm air pretty quick, way quicker than waiting on oil to heat up.

Not buying the faster heat thing. I had a radiator and a fan heater in the same room, and the fan heater felt warm for maybe five minutes then the room was still cold an hour later. Radiator was slow but the room actually stayed warm. Fast on your skin isn’t heat.

For a small office, I’d say the Coolzy warms up quicker than an oil radiator. Mine starts putting out heat within a couple minutes instead of the twenty minute wait I used to have. It’s not going to heat a big open space but for one room it’s fine.

Had an oil radiator in a drafty flat years back, so I know the slow burn routine. The Coolzy definitely puts heat out sooner, but in my experience it’s more of a you-feel-it-in-the-chair thing than the room actually getting warm. Depends what you want out of it.

Faster warmup doesn’t mean better heat. My radiator is slow but the room actually stays warm. Quick heat that fades in ten minutes is useless.

I’d keep the radiator and use the Coolzy as a top-up for the office, that’s what I do now. I still like having the radiator for the long cold evenings, but the Coolzy is the one I switch on when I just want the chill off my hands while I’m working. It’s not either/or for me.
