Not sure I’d trust it through a wall. Mine cut out as soon as I stepped into the next room, so I just set the timer and walk away. Easier than fighting with the remote anyway.
Mine sucked water straight out of a bucket the first time, no priming needed. I’ve used it that way maybe half a dozen times since and it always catches on its own. So yeah, the self suction thing is real in my experience.
I usually give it maybe 30 seconds, not the full 3 minutes. Waiting longer just made it gummy and harder to wipe off for me. Short dry time worked way better.
I don’t think the vibration does much. I borrowed one for a couple weeks and still had to scrape the same spots on my lower teeth the same way as my old pick. The tips felt a bit nicer to hold, but the actual cleaning part was basically the same for me.
Mine stuck to a case that curves all over, no peeling so far. The sticker is smaller than I expected too. For something in a pocket it’s a cheap enough experiment either way.
I’d put a small board or mat under mine if the carpet is really thick, just to keep the airflow from getting blocked. Otherwise, if the unit sits level, I think you’re overthinking it. Carpet won’t hurt it as long as it’s not wedged into the pile.
Mine does that too but I mostly notice it if I rinse and dry it with a towel instead of just letting it sit. Once it air dries for a couple minutes it feels normal again. I wouldn’t call it a problem, just a quirk of the surface.
I keep mine plugged in under my desk, but pointed toward my legs rather than the window. The draft still makes that side of the room cold, but at least I’m not sitting there shivering. Honestly if the window is that bad, you might just need to block it off anyway.
Mine doesn’t click either, it just sits there. I’ve had it for about a month and it hasn’t fallen off yet, but I also don’t move much when I sleep. I can see why it would be annoying though, the magnet definitely feels weaker than I expected.
I’d say it’s more about technique than the spray pattern itself. I’ve had some overspray when I tried to clean a higher section and had to stretch a bit, but that was my positioning more than the nozzle. If you keep the wand at a decent angle to the glass, it stays reasonable.
Tried it as a side sleeper and honestly didn’t have issues with it slipping. The molding part is what makes the difference, if you don’t get that right it won’t stay. I did feel some jaw pressure the first few nights but that went away. Mine stayed put even when I tossed around.
I have used mine in a few noisy spots and the noise reduction is fine, but it won’t do the heavy lifting for you. If you mumble or talk too fast, it still struggles no matter how good the filtering is. Just speak clearly and you’ll get by, but it is not some magic bubble of silence.
The film is normal if you stop short. I think people expect it to disappear instantly, but it really needs that extra buffing pass once the product dries down a bit. A second go over it usually clears it up for me.
I’d say keep the spray handy. The light definitely keeps things from buzzing right around it, but I wouldn’t count on the barrier part to cover a whole campsite. Buggy areas are a whole different game.
I just keep mine on the floor near the outlet I use for my lamp. Haven’t measured anything, just made sure the cord wasn’t stretched tight and the curtains were out of the way. Works fine where it sits.
It’s fine as long as you’re not expecting hose pressure out of it. I used mine with a bucket for a few washes and it got the job done, just slower. The main thing is keeping the intake line from floating up, otherwise it sputters. For a quick rinse or light dirt it’s okay, but I wouldn’t rely on it for a heavy cleanup.
I tried the ice once and honestly the extra chill only lasted maybe 20 minutes before it was just wet air again. For the effort of refreezing packs every morning, it’s not worth it to me. The fan on high does the real work anyway.
I don’t get why placement would change how it works. It just sits in there and cycles air. I tossed mine in the crisper drawer since I never use it and the fridge smells fine. Maybe you just need to give it a few days.
I had mine angled at the fence and it worked fine, but then I moved it to the middle of the lawn and honestly it still did the job. The sensor seems to pick up a decent area, not a narrow beam. I think you can get away with vague pointing.
I think a lot of it comes down to whether you leave it on or keep shutting it down. I found it sips power when idle but the screen and mic chew through it once you’re actually having conversations. I’d probably still carry a power bank just for peace of mind, but I never actually needed it on a long day out.
