I’m about to order the Qinux Zindoggo and was wondering if anyone shares the app with a partner or family member. My husband and I both walk our dog, so it would be handy if we could both check the location on our own phones. Does the app let you log in on more than one device, or is it locked to a single phone? I’ve had trackers before where only one person could see anything, which got annoying fast. Not a dealbreaker, just trying to figure out how it works in real life.

I asked about this before ordering mine and was told it’s tied to one account, not one phone. So as long as your husband logs into the same account on his phone, he should see the same map. Mine isn’t here yet though, so I’m just going off what support told me.

I never bothered setting up a second phone since my partner just checks it on mine when needed. But if both of you walk the dog separately, it does seem like something you’d want sorted before ordering.

I set mine up so my wife and I both have it on our phones and it’s been fine. We both travel a fair bit for work so whoever’s home ends up doing the walk, and it was pointless having the app on just one phone. She just downloaded it and logged in with the same account I made when I paired the collar, took her like two minutes. Both phones get the alerts now, which is actually the part I care about most. If the dog slips out while I’m away somewhere, I still get pinged even if she’s the one at home.

One thing I noticed is the two phones don’t always update at the exact same moment. Like if I open the app and she’s already got it open, sometimes mine shows a slightly older spot until it refreshes. Not a big deal for us, just something I picked up. It’s not like one phone blocks the other or anything, they just both pull the location on their own.

So yeah, for two people walking the same dog it does what you’d want. I’ve got enough gadgets that only work on one device and it’s always a pain, this one wasn’t like that for us.

Sharing the app side of it is the easy part. The tracker itself is where I’d poke holes. I picked one up for my lab a few months back and the location updates were fine when he was out in the open, but the second he got near the treeline behind our place it started drifting. Nothing dramatic, just enough that I stopped trusting it for anything beyond a rough idea. The fence alerts also came through late a couple times, so if your husband is relying on it to catch a runner, that gap matters. Two phones won’t fix any of that. It’s not a terrible gadget for casual walks, but I wouldn’t lean on it like a leash substitute. Whether two logins work is kind of beside the point if the signal is already shaky where you actually walk.

I’d just get a second tracker if you both actually walk the dog separately. Two people logging into one account is fine until you’re both trying to watch the same live session, then someone gets kicked or the map lags. For the money these things cost, that’s not worth the hassle.

I’m still deciding too, so I keep going back and forth on the app side. The account sharing part sounds fine, but I’m more curious whether two people can both run live tracking at the same time without it getting laggy. That would be the thing I’d want to know before ordering.

It works on two phones, but there’s a catch: only one person gets the live alerts at a time unless you both keep the app open. My wife missed a few escape notifications because of that. Fine if you’re just checking location now and then.

Ours only stayed synced on one phone at a time.

I share the app with my partner and it mostly works, but what surprised me was the account setup side. We didn’t even try to have two separate logins, we just use the same one on both phones. My phone is the one that did the initial pairing with the collar though, and I’ve noticed that matters a bit. When he opens the app on his phone he can see where she is and check the map fine, but some of the settings stuff like changing the safe zone or messing with alerts feels like it lives more on my end. Not locked or anything, just a bit clunky depending on which phone was set up first.

One thing nobody really warns you about is the notification situation. We both have notifications turned on and sometimes we both get an alert at the same time, sometimes only one of us does, and I honestly can’t figure out the pattern. It’s not a huge deal for us because we’re usually together when the dog is out anyway, but if you and your husband walk separately a lot, you might notice that inconsistency more than we do.

For just checking location on two phones though, that part has been fine for us. No extra fee, no weird “this account is already in use” error. I was half expecting it to kick one of us off every time the other opened the app and that hasn’t happened. I’d say go for it, just don’t expect the two phones to feel totally identical in terms of what you can poke around with.

I prefer having my own login rather than sharing one, just less confusing when alerts pop up. My wife and I each set up separate accounts tied to the same collar and it’s been fine for a few months now. Setup took a couple extra minutes but worth it for us.

I’d just set up a separate login for each of you if the app allows it. Sharing one account sounds convenient until alerts get missed or one phone stops updating. I’d rather have my own setup than deal with that confusion.

We had it on two phones for about a month and it worked, but the alerts got messy. Both phones buzzed for everything and it drove me nuts. Maybe fine if you split walks, but I wouldn’t count on it staying smooth.

We just leave the app logged in on the tablet by the back door since that’s where we usually are when the dog takes off. Never really bothered with phones for it.

One login on two phones is more hassle than people admit. My brother and I tried that with a different tracker and whoever opened the app last basically hijacked it. If Zindoggo does separate logins, go that route.

We have ours set up so my husband and I each use our own login, and it’s been way less annoying than when we tried sharing one on an older tracker. Nothing got missed and we could both just check whenever. Takes two minutes to set up the second one.

I went the other direction and just put the app on my old phone that stays in the kitchen drawer, then my partner uses the newer one. Two separate phones actually worked fine for us since we each set it up on our own. Been about six weeks now and no issues.

I asked pretty much the same thing before ordering because my partner and I split dog duty depending on who gets home first. From what I found out, the app itself lets you sign in on more than one phone with the same account, so it is not locked to a single device the way some cheaper trackers are. We have not had it long, maybe three weeks, but so far we both pull up the map fine when one of us has the dog out. The only thing I noticed is you do have to actually open the app to see the live location, it is not like it just shows up on your lock screen constantly. That part surprised me a little. But for just checking where the dog is while the other person is walking, it does the job. So I would say your setup should work okay.

I only want the dog’s location on my phone, not a shared feed with constant pings. If I’m out walking and my partner keeps checking the same app, it just becomes background noise for me. So I’d rather keep it on one device and text if something looks off.
