Doubt it replaces much of anything. Steam loosens surface gunk, sure, but the second something is actually greasy you’re back to a real cleaner anyway. So you’re not cutting chemicals, you’re just adding another gadget to the cupboard.
The strap is thin enough that it doesn’t swallow my 9 lb yorkie’s neck, but the clasp sits right where her leash clips. That got annoying fast. Fit was fine otherwise.
I went into it thinking finger placement was mostly a gimmick, something the app tells you so it feels like there’s more to it. After a few months the only thing that actually mattered to me was whether the ring stayed put. I started on my ring finger because that was the best fit from the sizing kit, no other reason. Readings were steady enough for what I use it for.
What changed my mind was when I tried moving it to another hand for a day just to see. Sleep data looked roughly the same, heart rate during the day had a few gaps but nothing dramatic. So I stopped caring about the whole finger debate. The ring doesn’t know or care what finger it’s on, it just wants skin contact that doesn’t slip.
One thing I’ll say is that a finger that’s too loose is worse than picking the “wrong” finger. If it spins or slides around at night, that’s when you get weird numbers. I’d sort the fit first and then stop thinking about it. Anyone obsessing over index vs middle is skipping the part that actually affects the data.
That “all positions” line is why I stopped paying attention to pillow marketing. I’ve had mine since around last winter and the back sleeping thing is fine, no argument there. But I don’t sleep like a corpse, I roll. When I end up on my stomach, the contour digs into my jaw and I wake up with a sore neck. Side sleeping is hit or miss depending on where my shoulder lands.
So yeah, I agree the claim is a stretch. I kept it because it’s decent enough for part of the night, not because it magically adapts. If you actually move between all three positions, you’re going to notice the shape fighting you at some point. That’s just what a fixed pillow does.
Back pocket didn’t work out for me. After a couple months the card picked up a permanent bend from sitting on it, and once it curved it stopped protecting anything. Front pocket only now.
Ended up just sticking with my old bottle. Charging a cap to maybe delay a smell by a day is not worth it to me. If I forget to wash it that’s on me, not something I need a battery for.
Mine pick up plenty of street noise too. I wouldn’t expect an app update to change how the mics are built.
I don’t bother with a schedule. I just check the thing when I remember, which ends up being whenever I notice my water pressure acting weird or my skin feeling drier than usual. For me that’s been around the four month mark, but I’m not counting days or anything.
The whole “filter lasts X months” thing is mostly a guess anyway since it depends on what’s in your water. I live in a place with pretty mild water, so I get away with leaving it longer than someone with heavy chlorine. If you’re the type to forget, just put a reminder in your phone and stop overthinking it. It’s not like the showerhead stops working when the filter is done, you just lose the benefits and don’t realize it right away.
I’ve had one sitting in my wallet for a few months now. It works fine even with everything stacked together, I just keep it behind my cards and don’t think about it. Some people act like you need perfect placement, but I haven’t noticed any issues.
Warm is pretty normal for any device that’s actually running, especially overnight. What I’d watch for is if it gets hot enough to feel concerning when you pick it up. Mine runs warm in Boost too and hasn’t given me any actual problems yet.
Cord length has never been my issue with these things. The bigger annoyance is that the touchscreen controls are way too sensitive, so if you put it anywhere near where you actually walk or reach for something, you’ll bump it and change the settings without noticing. Mine ended up in a corner just because I got tired of accidentally turning the fan off.
I’ve used mine on the oven glass a few times without any real issues. The steam does the job on the grime. I just wipe it down after and it’s been fine. Not sure why people think it’s some risky surface.
I’d rather fill a bucket a few times than drag a hose around, honestly. The suction holds up fine as long as you keep the water level above the intake line. You’re not getting a full pressure washer experience, but for a quick rinse or spot cleaning it’s not the headache people make it out to be.
I noticed mine felt a bit more forgiving around the three week mark, but it wasn’t some dramatic change. It just stopped feeling like it was fighting me all night. The mornings are still a little stiff but nothing like the first two weeks.
Heat isn’t what I’d worry about. These stickers are pretty thin and the back of a TV doesn’t get that hot anyway. The adhesive is the least fragile part of the whole setup.
If anything, I’d think about whether you actually want it there permanently. Once it’s on, it’s on. Moving it later is a pain and you’ll probably just leave it wherever it lands.
I wouldn’t overthink it. The remote exists for exactly this reason. If it couldn’t be used from another room, nobody would buy it. Just shut the door and start it.
I mean, they’re earbuds. If you’ve worn any in-ear buds for a few hours you know they can get a little annoying. But heavy isn’t the word I’d use for these. They just sit there.
Probably won’t matter much honestly. These things either do something or they don’t, and I doubt old wiring makes any difference either way.
It’ll probably be fine. Leather isn’t exactly a Faraday cage, and the Find My network doesn’t need a clean line of sight to work anyway.
I don’t get the storage worry. It’s memory foam, you can just squish it into any gap and it stays put. Not like it’s a solid brick.
People make too big a deal out of this. I just put mine on so it’s snug and not flopping around. Crank it too tight and it’s just uncomfortable for no reason.
Bluetooth only. No WiFi needed. It just pairs with your phone and stores the data there. Works fine even when my internet is spotty.
