I use mine mainly for the drive to work and they do help with the sun bouncing off the hood. Not a magic fix but my eyes feel less tired by the time I park. For the price I paid I got my money’s worth.
I actually stopped using mine for work calls after a couple weeks. Not because it’s bad, just that with clients I’d rather not have anything in my ears that could glitch mid sentence. I had one call where the app dropped the connection for like 20 seconds and I just sat there nodding like an idiot until it came back. That was with a client too, not a random call.
For travel stuff it’s great, menus, taxi drivers, that kind of thing. But for actual business where you need to look sharp, I’d rather just use my phone on speaker with a translation app open so at least I can see the text and correct myself.
Maybe it’s just me though. I know some people swear by them for calls. I just prefer having the screen in front of me instead of relying on audio only.
I grabbed one mainly for the cooling side and was surprised the heat mode actually does something. It’s not going to replace a real heater for a whole house, but for a small office it’s fine. Mine puts out warm air pretty quick, way quicker than waiting on oil to heat up.
My mom is 74 and she actually does better with it on her non-dominant hand since she can just press the button and go slow. The thing that helped her most was doing it sitting at the kitchen table with her elbow propped up. Takes a few minutes but way less risky than clippers for her.
Mine actually works better for me left handed when I flip the whole thing around and pull instead of push. Saw a guy do it on youtube and it stuck. Weird at first but now its just how I use it.
The 360 thing is more useful than I expected but not in a dramatic way. I’ve used mine mostly for rinsing off my truck and the walkway, and I do notice the difference when I twist it. It’s not a pressure washer though, so if you want patio stripping power this isn’t it.
Mine came with the case in the box, so you shouldn’t need to buy one separately unless you’re looking at some weird listing. Snorkeling should be fine with it as long as you seal it right.
The tips come already on it, so you can just charge it and go. I don’t think anyone really needs a setup guide for this thing. Learning curve is mostly just getting your hand steady, took me a few practice lines on scrap before it looked decent.
I’ve got mine on a little laptop stand so it sits a few inches above the desk surface, and that alone stopped it from catching loose stuff. Airflow kind of skims over the top instead of blasting straight across. Might just be a height thing more than angle.
I’ve been running mine with the ceiling fan on for about a month now and the combo actually works fine for me. My setup is a bit different though since the AiraBreeze sits on my dresser instead of the floor, so it’s already pushing air around at roughly the same height as the fan blades. The way I see it, the fan keeps the air from getting stale in one spot and the cooler just adds to that. I tried turning the fan off for a few nights to compare and honestly couldn’t tell a huge difference, so I just leave both running now. Maybe in a bigger room it would matter more but my bedroom is pretty small. Either way it’s not like the fan cancels out the cooling or anything.
I think people overthink the height thing. Sound waves bounce around a room regardless. Mine is in a low outlet behind a couch and I haven’t seen any critters since I set it up. If the room is cluttered, that’s probably a bigger issue than where the outlet sits.
It’s basically a fancy rubbing cloth with a mild compound in it. I think people overthink it, yeah you’re technically removing a tiny bit of clear coat every time, but it’s so minimal it probably doesn’t matter unless you’re using it every single day. Most guys using it are just spot treating, not polishing the whole car.
Weird, mine has been the opposite. I’ve worn them around town a bunch and nobody on calls has ever mentioned hearing traffic or anything. Maybe I got lucky with a good pair, or the noise reduction kicks in better for some people. I haven’t touched any mic settings in the app either.
I’m a touch control guy all the way. I just find it faster than waiting for the voice assistant to kick in, especially when I’m just pausing something or skipping a track. Voice is good for the bigger stuff like setting a timer or translating, but for quick stuff my thumb just goes up automatically now.
I picked one up mostly because I didn’t want to keep pulling my phone out every time I needed to say something. It’s fine for the basics, but the voice recognition really depends on how clearly you speak. If you mumble or talk fast, it kinda falls apart. Just keep your sentences short and it does the job.
Good to know Im not the only one who just stuck it on and forgot about it. I ended up putting mine on the case since the tablet back felt a bit slippery and its been fine so far. Looks like a little dot, nobody even notices it.
I think it depends on the connection more than the app itself. I’ve got mine set up in the living room and checked it from work on my lunch break, and it felt pretty close to real time. But at home on my sketchy wifi it definitely drags a bit more. Not enough to bother me, but it’s not like a TV broadcast.
I’d say it depends on how you define accurate. The fence itself is more about giving you a heads up that the dog left the area, not exactly where he crossed. Mine pings a bit slower if he’s behind the house where the signal gets blocked, but out in the open it’s been pretty solid. I wouldn’t expect it to be down to the foot, but it does the job for keeping tabs on a wanderer.
I swim with mine a few times a week, not just pool laps but also some open water when it’s warm enough. I was nervous at first too because rings are small and you’d think water would mess with the sensors, but mine has been fine so far. I’ve had it since June and it’s been in the water a lot. Heart rate tracking during swims seems to work, though I’m not staring at it mid-stroke or anything. I check after and the data looks right.
The one thing I noticed is that the touch stuff on the ring acts weird when wet, but that’s not a big deal since I’m not tapping it while swimming anyway. After I get out I just rinse it with fresh water if I was in the ocean and dry it off. No issues with the screen or charging or anything like that.
I’d say if you’re planning on doing laps regularly, it should hold up. At least mine has.
I’ve got a couple of these heaters in my house and neither one has ever tripped a breaker. I did notice the plug gets a little warm but nothing crazy. If your place has old wiring, that’s probably the real issue, not the heater itself. I’ve run mine on a circuit with a TV and a computer and it’s been fine.
The case really has nothing to do with it since the phone itself is the thing that matters for setup. Once it’s paired, it just pings off whatever Apple device happens to be nearby. I toss mine in a backpack all the time and it updates fine. You’re overcomplicating it in your head.
The passport holder only does anything while the passport is in it though. I toss mine on the hotel bed or leave it in the room safe half the time. The card at least stays with you if you grab just your wallet for a quick walk around town.
I had the same worry before I got mine. For me it was mostly about getting used to where to tap. Once I figured out to tap closer to the middle of the bud instead of the edge, it got way better. I still accidentally pause sometimes when I’m adjusting them during a run, but it’s not constant.
