I don’t think it’s a gimmick, but you do have to use it the right way. I weigh in at the same time each morning and mostly just watch the overall line, not the daily numbers. The app makes it easy enough to see that without digging around. If you can ignore the weird day-to-day jumps, it does what it’s supposed to.
I think it depends how close you keep it. If it’s right on your desk and pointed at you, it’s probably fine for some relief. I haven’t tested one in a cubicle myself though.
Honestly, I don’t think it has its own GPS. I just use it for step counting around the house and it logs that fine without the phone nearby.
Honestly, it’s just full hours, so 2 is fine. Not sure why people worry about half-hour settings on these things.
I’ve had mine in a spot that gets maybe two hours of sun in the early morning and it’s held up through the night so far. The battery seems to hold enough charge even with just a bit of direct light. Cloudy days might cut it closer, but it hasn’t been an issue for me.
I’ve had mine for a few months and the outside is just smooth plastic, so a quick wipe when I’m already in the shower keeps it looking fine. The filter is tucked inside and you just swap it out every few months, so it’s not really extra cleaning.
I usually just unplug mine when I leave the room or go to bed. No timer needed, it’s pretty easy to just turn off when you’re done using it.
I use mine for jogging and they’ve been fine so far. I just picked the tip size that felt snug and haven’t had to adjust them mid-run.
Mounting it high up is more effort than it needs to be. I have mine sitting on a low cabinet and it works fine. Unless your signal is awful, a table should do the job.
I’d say the finger hole does most of the work. I don’t have huge hands and I barely notice the handle once I’m actually using it.
I’ve been using mine with a 14” Pro for a few weeks now and it keeps up fine for me. Maybe check if your MacBook is pulling power through another port or if the cable is actually rated for 100W. I’d say it’s worth testing with a different cable before blaming the charger.
I think the “grainy blobs” worry is a bit overblown. I’ve used mine in a pitch black room just to test it, and while it’s not high-def, you can clearly make out objects and movement. It’s definitely usable.
I think it depends on what you need from it. I don’t miss the software at all since I just use the default settings.
I’d play it safe and stick to using it on clear coat only. Matte finishes are tricky and even a mild cloth can change the texture. Not worth the risk if you ask me.
Lots of mixed takes in here. I just use mine on nights when the AC isn’t quite cutting it, and it’s good enough to fall asleep to.
I’d just plug it in and see how it goes. Probably looks fine on an older screen, mine does the job without any fuss. Not totally sure why they push the 4K thing, but it doesn’t seem to matter much.
I put one on my tablet a while back and honestly I haven’t noticed anything either way. It’s not doing any harm and it was cheap enough, so I just leave it on there.
I noticed the same thing on some interior trim. Wiped it off pretty easily with a little detailer spray, no big deal.
I’d say it’s decent for killing a few minutes here and there. I’ve played some of the simple games on mine while waiting for something to load and they worked fine for that. Not something I’d buy the stick for, but it’s a nice little extra since you’re already getting it for streaming.
I’ve had mine for a few months and it’s still doing fine for weeknight dinners. Ice hardening or not, I’d say just use it and see how it feels for you.
I kept their plan for a while but switched to my own SIM later, just preferred having one less subscription to track.
I think the old phrasebook apps are fine if you already have them set up, but the Enence is more convenient for quick back and forth. Offline is never going to be perfect on either one, so it’s really just what you prefer to carry.
I usually just wake up in the same position I fell asleep in, so it stays put for me. Guess it depends on how much you move around.
Straps on mine hold fine, never had to mess with them mid-session. I mainly use it for the red light after sun exposure, not really tracking wrinkles, but it does the job for me.
