For slow drains I’d say it’s a decent first try but don’t expect it to fix years of buildup in one go. I used it on mine and it helped for a bit but I still had to bust out the plunger after a couple weeks. Fine for maintenance, not a miracle worker.
I’d probably hold off until they’re a bit older, just from a training standpoint. Puppies that young are still figuring out what barking even means, and if the device interrupts them before they learn the basics, it might just confuse them. I think the manual says puppies are fine, but that doesn’t always match real life.
When my dog was around four months, I tried a similar ultrasonic thing and it felt like she just got distracted by it rather than learning anything. She’d stop barking, look around, then go back to whatever she was doing. It didn’t really stick until she was older and understood the whole “quiet” command.
If it’s working for you now, that’s fine, but I’d personally use it sparingly and focus more on rewarding quiet moments. You can always bring it back out later if the habit sticks.
I wore mine with a pair of slightly slimmer chinos once and you could see the outline of the side stays if you were really looking, but it wasn’t anything that screamed brace. The fabric itself is thin enough that it just felt like an extra layer, not a cast. I wouldn’t wear it with super tight pants, but for regular stuff it’s a non-issue.
I just leave the ice out when it’s humid and don’t stress about it. The CoolJet still moves air around and that’s most of what I want from it on those days. The evaporative effect is weaker, sure, but it doesn’t turn into a completely useless fan or anything. It’s still quieter than my old desk fan and doesn’t dry out my eyes as much. I figure if I’m already sitting there and it’s blowing on me, I’m more comfortable than without it. Maybe that’s partly psychological, but whatever works. I wouldn’t overthink the whole humidity thing. It’s a desk cooler, not an AC unit, so as long as I keep my expectations reasonable it’s fine. I still use it every day either way.
I actually had a chance to try one of these on my sister in law, who’s pretty petite. She’s maybe 5’2” and has a narrow face, so I was curious about the same thing. We didn’t do a full demo or anything, just held it up to see how it sat. It wasn’t as loose as I expected. The mask kind of molded to her face well enough that we both figured it would work in a real situation. Not a perfect seal like a medical mask, but for something you’d grab in a panic, it seemed fine. She said it felt a bit big around the chin area but not enough that she’d worry about it slipping off.
I think the bigger thing is just pressing down firmly when you use it. The manual suction part does most of the work anyway, so the fit doesn’t need to be perfect. I’ve also seen videos of people using it on mannequins and it seems forgiving. My sister in law even joked that if it worked on her, it would work on anyone. That was good enough for me.
I wouldn’t overthink the size thing. It’s one of those devices you hope you never have to use, so as long as it covers the mouth and nose and you follow the steps, it’s probably going to do its job.
I think I remember someone saying they swap theirs every few months, but I’m not totally sure how strict that is. I’d probably just wait until the pressure drops or the water starts leaving spots again before changing it.
They definitely include multiple sizes, I think three pairs. I have pretty average ears and the mediums fit fine, but the small ones are in there too so you should be covered.
I noticed mine lasted about 11 hours on the first charge, but after a few cycles it seems to hold a bit longer. Might just need to break the battery in a little.
Appreciate everyone chiming in, sounds like four hours is pretty much the norm for most of us. Guess I’ll just keep an eye on it and see if it evens out after a few more charge cycles, but it’s still getting me through what I need.
I think people probably overthink the remote thing. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, it’s probably fine from a normal distance.
Appreciate everyone sharing their thoughts. Sounds like the blue light can help a bit but it’s not a miracle worker for acne. I’ll probably still give it a shot since I’m curious, just won’t expect too much from it.
The vibration didn’t really bother me honestly. I never used a manual scraper so I can’t compare, but the LED light is the main reason I’d keep using this thing. Helps me actually see what I’m doing back there.
I skimmed the thread, and honestly if you already have the Guardality card in your wallet, I think the passport cover is just extra. I use mine on its own when I travel and never had a problem with my cards being skimmed. The cover would probably just annoy me by making my wallet thicker.
