I keep going back and forth on this myself. The thing I can’t get past is that the “buy it or don’t” answer seems to depend on something nobody can really tell you in advance, which is how sensitive your eyes actually are to that flat, washed out brightness you get on a highway at noon. Some people genuinely don’t notice it and would be fine with nothing, other people get a headache after an hour and would pay almost anything.
My plan is to just borrow a pair for one long drive before spending anything. If I don’t feel a difference on a bright afternoon, that tells me more than ten reviews will. What I’d want to know from people here is whether the effect is obvious the first time or whether it’s one of those things you only notice after you stop using it. That’s the part that makes me hesitant, because if it’s subtle I’ll probably convince myself it’s working just because I paid for it.
Also curious whether anyone wears them over regular glasses, since that’s my situation and the fit seems like it could be annoying.
I’d rather swap boards than scrub one forever, but I’m still not sold on titanium for raw chicken. The non-porous thing sounds nice, though. Does it actually feel okay when you’re cutting veggies on it too?
I’d double check with the seller before buying, but the case is usually sold on its own rather than bundled in. The camera itself isn’t really meant to go underwater without one.

I wouldn’t overthink the saved pairs thing. I’m the type who jumps between Spanish, French, and Japanese depending on who I’m talking to, and I’ve never noticed the app struggling or getting confused when I switch. It just picks up where I left off.
Honestly I think if there’s an accuracy issue it’s more about how you speak than what’s saved. My Spanish friend talks fast and mumbles sometimes and the app misses words no matter how many pairs I have stored. But when we both speak clearly it’s been solid every time.
The way I see it, the saved pairs are just shortcuts. I’m not convinced having multiple ones saved somehow makes the translation engine work harder or slower. Mine still kicks in right away when I start talking after a switch. Maybe if you’re constantly changing pairs mid conversation you’d notice something, but for normal back and forth chatting it’s been fine for me.

I wouldn’t say one is better than the other. I think it depends on the situation. Voice is great when I’m alone or outside, but touch seems like the smarter option in public spaces or around other people. I’m just too lazy to build the habit yet.

I think it does more than just paint transfer, but it depends what you mean by scratch. I had a few faint marks on my door from a shopping cart and they basically disappeared after a couple of passes. Anything that actually catches your fingernail is a different story, but for light surface stuff it seems to handle it fine.
It might depend on your water too. Mine is pretty heavily chlorinated and I honestly noticed the difference mostly when I traveled and used a regular showerhead again. That’s when it hit me, the water at home did feel less harsh. But day to day, yeah, I can’t really tell anymore.

I think some warmth is probably normal with magnetic chargers in general, not just this one. I wouldn’t worry unless it starts feeling actually hot to the touch.
