Setup is basically nothing. Mine was ready after a charge, tips were already in. The learning curve is real though, and it’s not about assembly. It’s your hand. I still get wobbly lines on metal after a few weeks.
Keeping a card in your back pocket is asking for it to get sat on and bent anyway. Mine survived a few months there but ended up with a nice curve to it. Function still seemed fine, but a warped card is annoying.
Good to know Im not the only one dealing with the occasional Bluetooth hiccup. Sounds like the usual tradeoff.
I move mine around a lot too. The 20 minute guideline seems like a maximum, not something you have to hit. I’d rather do shorter bursts on different spots than sit there forcing myself through the pins and needles feeling. Nobody’s timing you.
The size has never been the problem for me. It’s the battery that decides how long you’re willing to carry it around, since once that dies the whole thing is dead weight anyway. For patio furniture and a bike you’ll be done before your arms get tired.
Never felt handle-heavy to me. I just grab it and cut, no issues. Maybe your grip is further back than mine or something.
The change is subtle but it’s there for me. I notice it most when I get out and my skin doesn’t have that squeaky clean feeling that usually means it’s stripped dry. It’s not night and day, but I’ll take it over the alternative.
Placement probably matters less than people think, but the distance thing is kind of the point. The unit is supposed to condition the current before it spreads through the house. Plug it in the living room and it’s only doing anything for whatever is downstream of that outlet. Not saying it won’t do anything at all, but you’re paying for a fraction of the effect.
Keys don’t really sink that deep on their own, but the tide and foot traffic can shuffle sand around and bury them pretty quick. If you know the general spot, it’s worth one more look, especially if you can go at low tide. But if you were walking around for a while before you noticed, the odds drop fast.
If the adult mask is loose, the child mask is right there. Seems pretty straightforward to me. Not sure why people expect one mask to fit every single face on the planet.
Hard to say honestly. I ran mine for a few hundred miles and never bothered to reset anything to check properly. The car felt a bit less jerky at low speed maybe, but I couldn’t tell you if I saved a single gallon.
I’ve worn mine for a few hours during calls and they didn’t really bug me. I wouldn’t say they feel heavy, more like they just stay put.
I’ve had mine for a few months now and the pin definitely stayed stiff the whole time. It’s never loosened up at all. Works fine for me though, I just got used to pulling a little harder.
15 minutes seems enough for a deck, not sure why you’d need more time unless you’re trying to vacuum the thing. I’d just turn it on full blast and be done with it.
Honestly it’s not that deep. It’s a cheap little engraving pen for messing around with, not some precision tool. If you’re overthinking the detail on metal or glass just grab it and try, worst case you’re out a few bucks.
Oscillation uses a tiny bit more juice but it’s not worth overthinking. If you’re running it on high speed the battery will drain quick regardless. I just plug mine in whenever it dies and don’t worry about it.
Not having a timer isn’t really an issue. It shuts off automatically when the tank is empty, so I just top it off when I remember and let it run.
I wonder if part of it is just the water pressure at your place. Mine works okay for some things but I have a feeling it would barely do anything with weaker flow. Not bad for what it is though.
Honestly, I think that tight feeling is pretty standard for boil-and-bite stuff. It’s not supposed to be loose, or it wouldn’t hold your jaw in place. If it stays annoyingly tight after a few nights, that’s more of a problem than just the initial fit.
Data saver mode is whatever, I barely notice it day to day. The real reason I still carry mine is the battery, it lasts long enough that I don’t have to hunt for an outlet when I’m out. Global roaming is just a bonus I’ll probably never use.
